Turning 21 where it doesnt matter anyway. But none the less I'd like to do some really awesome stuff. Any good restaurants (I've heard of some that serve pot salads or some places that make you take your shoes off and you dine next to fountains.) Anything exotic or just plain awesome! Let me know if anyone has any suggestions, I'm going in March so the weather will be a little warmer.
You must be talking about ''Nomads'' see the link below http://www.worldsbestbars.com/city/amsterdam/nomads-amsterdam.htm
hi! i am going in march, too! 16th - 23rd...will i see you there? anyway, i was there in 01, and it was my friend's bday, and we went on this cannabis cruise. it was run by the dolphin coffee shop. the website doesn't seem to be working, but there's some info and an email link here: http://www.skunk-cafe.com/database/shopsa/dolphin.html anyway, for my friend's bday, they brought us a bottle of champange, a big ole hookah, and a couple of extra grams of super-yummy bud, different than the bud that you get as part of the cruise. when we went, included in the fee ( i think it was around $25 USD) you got a tee shirt, rolling papers, a lighter with the dolphin logo, a gram or 2 of pot, and some other cool stuff. it was prob a couple of hours long, and it was like a tour--they pointed out some stuff, and there was one part where you can go off the boat on the tour. i highly recommend the cruise. i will definatley try to go again while i'm there. peace. LP
Both of these things look great...does anyone else know what I could do that would be super fun? I've been saving up all summer to blow a whole lot of cash! So anything goes as long as I'll be having a great time!
Hey.. that restaurant Nomads looks pretttty awesome.. how come I didn't know it? I suck ! The Supperclub is weird to.. don't go if you're homofobic.. went there once and lots of different people and a lot of people that I don't think were really female
Some hotels, especially the ones on or around the canals have private tours for their guests and go where the big boys can't which is brilliant. Also, certain water taxis and tours have an area at the back that is open air and you are able to smoke with no problems. The secret is to join a small private group, buy a crate of beer, take a picnic and join in.
are th canal cruises pricey? in euros? last time i was there i never did one cause i was too broke, but this time round we have a bit more cash to spare. are they any use nemesis, when your already quite familiar with the city?
i think they are less than 10 euros, and its just fun to see the city from a different perspective. i dont know about the water taxis tho.
Main tours take about 90mins to loop the route depending which zones you chose to view. For about 20 Euros you can buy a pass that lets you hop on hop off all day including trams, bus and metro. I personally still end up walking or cycling though to get about.
