What would you do if pot became legal? Of course you will smoke it. But what else. What if they made it legal and then took it away? Me, I would smoke so fucking much that My lungs will crumble to little pieces.

There would be a lot more room in the prisons for those who commit victim crimes.

Everyone would be smoking it, the country would become a much more peaceful place, and the fast food places and grocery stores would make a fortune

Big buisness out of money, reduced poverty, decreased militarism.

It would be no different, everyone would just be as stoned as they are now. It would just be eaiser and cheaper to legalize it in all states of the world. If they arrested everyone that smoked it, there would be no one left to work.

    ahhh.. how cute :p

Serious.. if pot was legal then nothing would change.. except that the prisons would be emptier and there would be more room for really dangerous criminals, plus the government would have more control over it.. plus the quality would go up.

How do I know this? Because where I live.. pot is semi-legal (it's legal to have it on you in certain amounts, it's legal to have a few plants for home-use, it's legal to smoke at home and in coffeeshops and they won't make a big fuss if you smoke it outside, it's legal to sell in coffeeshops.. the only thing that remains illegal (and that's kinda strange considering the rest) is growing the plants for mass-use).

My favorite place in town is a coffeeshop.. although I don't really smoke (once a year is a lot for me).. but there is the best atmosphere, plus that coffeeshops aren't allowed to sell alcohol and I'd rather be in a room with stoked people than with drunks! :D

Anyway.. reality check: the world isn't going to get all Utopia on you when pot would be legal.

It will if it is done right. Cannabis can be used for clothing, food, EFFICIENT FUEL, medicine, and it can make people content.

Not to mention that it would take centralized power away from big buiesnesses, and put it into the hands of small co-ops of growers; you would not be dependent on the government if you did not a want to.

But the government will always want you to be dependent of them... they'd put taxes on everything.. realise that what you're suggesting will replace oil (amongst other things), one of their biggest sources of tax income! Even now it's possible to run a diesel engine car on normal plant-oil, which has practically no bad side products when burned, is safer when it comes to flamability, it's way better for the engine itself.. and it's illegal. Why? Because it's a food product so it has a lower tax than diesel. Go figure.

I think the government should wise up a bit and sell pot a Wal-Mart.
We could all crawl down there for some Cann-Lights.
It'd boost up our economy and we wouldn't be in the hole SO much.

I think it would be a great thing to legalize pot. Think about it.....imagine how fast it would pay off the national debt that Bush has made so high. And there would be more room in the prisons for actual crimanals, not pot heads. and of course i would plant a field and run through it happily! I would smoke and smoke and smoke!!!!
