Yes, it was shocking. To be rounded up and treated like a criminal in a small town store. I've got a hard look. It intimidates flunkies.

Yes, as we've been seeing on the news here in the U.S., there's a whole lot of worse shit going on these days. Bare feet seem so innocent.

I'm really a kind and friendly person. I can't help how I look. I smile in public situations.

I went into the bathroom at the theater this weekend and urine was all over the floor.

I can't imagine anyone desiring to walk barefoot in pools of urine. Yes , I was wearing shoes, thankfully.

Getting kicked out of walmart would be hilarious, considering the vermin I've seen scurrying around the freezer isle and action alley there....

Not really. It was humiliating. I was a regular customer, but was treated inhumanly.

Was asked to leave a food store I frequent often by a new employee. The manager who I know well, was nearby and said, "Hello Hannah, good to see you again ." Then looked at the employee and said, "I make those decisions, not you. "
The guy was fired the following week for coming in late too often. .

I had a similar experience. The kid said something about "health laws." I glared at him and said, "There are no such laws." The manager, who knew me as a frequent and loyal customer, said, "That's right." (Affirming I was correct.) I never saw that employee again.

"Action Alley" is the wide alley running along the middle of the store from one side to the other. Sometimes located near the rear (isle).

I was in Pensacola, Fla some years ago, stopped to get gas, walked in to pay - barefoot - and the guy behind counter said I can't be in there barefoot, no sign on door. so I said I need to pay for my gas, he reiterated I can't be in there barefoot. I said I don't have any shoes and if I can't be in there barefoot then my gas must be free. he looked at me dumbfounded, let me pay for my gas. LOL

I’m sure it’s been said already knowing this forum , but stepping in poop has been one of the biggest negative things I’ve encountered going barefoot.
