Some guy told me that they take the thc out of hemp in the U.S.A. I find this highly unlikely seeing on how cheep the stuff is. Is it a fact or myth?

my understanding is that hemp products are made from a thc level of lower to 'none' plant relation to the cannabis that we smoke. and that products are cheaper because the hemp is much easier / low maintanence to grow/harvest. someone correct me if i'm wrong?

hemp has pretty much no THC in it because its made form a different part of the plant.

Industrial hemp has a naturally low thc level, as that is not the feature it is produced for.

If there was alot thc in hemp you better belive that they would take it out...but hemp doesnt have much thc..you cannot smoke hemp products and get baked..lol that would be funny to see someone try....hehe...hemp is just kewl cause it is made from a plant....u know...it's natural....i think the hemp comes from the stalk and stuff..not the bud...although it is illegal in this country to grow for the use of hemp..hehe..

yeah, but you said that they didn't use the thc part of the plant, which is true, but they also don't use that type of plant. its a different strain.

I thought they used the 'male' plant for hemp and the 'female' plant for bud.

Becknudefck, you can get buds from male or female plants, but the female plants produce more potent buds with a higher yield. Male plants' purpose in life is to fertlize the female plants, to obtain seeds.

Cannabis ruderalis is the strain used for hemp. It usually has only 0.5% THC.Hemp is made from the stems of the plant. First dry out the stalks and stems. Then soak them in water to soften them. When you take them out of the water, you will notice the fibers coming loose. Pull the fibers apart, card and spin like wool. That's how you can make hemp twine. I've done it a few times. It takes practise to spin it evenly, but it's very satisfying.
