I could see that. I find sex scenes in regular movies much sexier than porn. Even straight sex scenes. Why? Because a movie (or TV series) gives you enough time and context to understand the characters' relationship. Like, if I'm rooting for their relationship, it's hot to see them have sex.

But just the visual of two people banging? With no emotional involvement from me? Nah. I need more than just the visual.

I think the norms are changing. Women are aroused by porn now too. But women aren't as into sex when they're young as men are. For instance, many scientific or educational resources suggest that sexual primes and hormones etc. are in effect at different periods of the life cycle for men and women. Why?

Anyways... women hit that mark later than men. Well for many, they're off and married with children by that time. Perhaps there aren't as many opportunities for women to be into porn.

I think that a healthy fascination with sex is okay. But too many times you see a man who does not understand the role of sexuality in life. For example our message board here; Hip Forums. We see time and time again someone who is either itching to meet up, or thinks that romance is this total necessity. I'm not very good at critiquing this, but I think we all know what I mean. There are undesirable traits and it's hard to say whether or not this is because of or related to porn.

I think that it can be an outlet, but it's like some people get confused and think that they can live it.

Your post touched on lot and I can't comment on all of it, but the sexual peak in women coming later in life is something I've heard multiple times too. Now, I don't know that anything I've heard is true, but ive heard it. I've heard 40s is the sexual peak for women. My wife and I are both 39, so I really, really, really, REALLY, hope it's true.

Yeah I agree with what soul and noserider say. I thought I enjoyed sex when I was younger, i didn't not enjoy it... But in retrospect it feels like I didn't compared to 29 onwards. In my memory it's almost like I was pretending to enjoy it so well that I fooled myself.
