A lot of people around here have begun storing their weed in a container with orange peels. They say it keeps it nice and fresh and the orange taste is soaked up into the buds. Any truth to this?

Also one time I saw a kid actually had an orange slice and fungus had grown all over it and most of the weed but him and other people still smoked it.

many find it strange, but ive come to prefer weed thats dry. i never find it less potent, if anything dry weed always seems more potent. its also heaps easier to cut up.

i say: if your eatin oranges and wanna try it out, chuck one in and see for yourself. otherwise dont bother.

its just a way of keeping your buds fresh and moist.... instead of all dried out.. plus it helps give the weed a nice orange smell to it, if you have some homegrown that smells just nasty. but if you do this remember to change out the peel every couple days so not to get mold all over the place

if you got mex or mid-grade you know bricked and dry as hell its great.even dank that dry and burns fast. but you have to be really carful if it get to much moister in it it will not get you stoned (water kills thc) i wouldn't leve it in for more than a day some times less

if you don't want any change in taste of your herb you should put in a small lettuce leaf.

in my experiences some dealers do this or lightly spray it with water to make their weed denser so it weighs more

It's the same trick bakers use with brown sugar.

But I'm with bill on this one, who ever got hurt by burning a whole bowl in one hit?

fuck how can u possibly perfer dry weed. That seriously makes me question your experiance as a smoker.

Freshly dried weed which has not become dry as bone is SOOO much smoother, and imo Smooth weed is what makes weed "kills"

I only have weed for maybe a day or 2 at most.....no need to store it. its gone within an hour of buying it usually anyways.

man, its preference. Ive always preferred the way dry weed burns and cuts up. Its a thoroughly tested method as well. dry weed will burn also at a lower temperature, which makes it smoother. along with this, you can fit more dry weed into a bowl or a joint.

You can prefer damp weed, i dont care.

just think of it like this: you either like damp or dry. now, ive never found any beneift of having liquid in my weed. this is from observation, and from science.
Its not like there is an optimal time for smoking it wqhere the dampness is jsut right. dampness is either good or bad. as long as it is not subject to heat or light, then thc will not be lost in any noticeable amount over a few days. and so its not a case of having the right 'balance'. tehrefor, bone dry weed is the most logical choice for me.

you may have had other observations. thats why its your oppinion, and my oppinion is mine.

sticky weed is a bit of a differnet issue though. then its nice to keep it a bit sticky. but if its just normal weed then dry gets you high. ;)

lol k, there are alot of things wrong with this post.

first off, i dont smoke "damp" weed i smoke "FRESH" weed. there is a difference between freshly picked, properly dried, and dry weed.

as well, your theory on how u can fit more "dry" weed into a bowl then damp/fresh weed is incorrect. damp weed, or weed which has JUST been dried weighs more because it still has some moisture in it, there for more mass = more volume = Large bowls with less packing.

u say that dry weed some how burns at a lower tempature, which i do not know HOW u possibly know that, but dry weed for 1 thing burns much FASTER than fresh weed again, wasting weed/time unless your packing 1 toke bowls.

If u have so much experiance with weed i'm suprised u have never noticed the difference of burning between dry as fuck weed, and "fresh" weed. when u light a bowl of fresh, u HAVE to take a toke to get the bowl to light up, therefor making the bowl hardly burn at all or not even burn while no one it hooting. While dry weed, u can leave a bowl in a bong and it will burn to ash all by itself, no one hooting.

"dry weed will burn also at a lower temperature, which makes it smoother" and i dont even start on that comment, if u want to test which is smoother, go pick a leaf which is alive off a tree and smoke it, then smoke a dead dry leaf on the ground, tell me which is smoother.

but like u said, in the end it's personnal preferance, but i just do not understand how u can perfer bone dry weed to anything, in the past i've been tempted to throw away weed because it was so dry.
