Is stark raving mad the superlative form of mad?
My life seems a journey from mad to stark raving as a process.

 

I was talking to my friends about the recent update on Ancestry DNA and how my results changed and immediately someone has to jump in and tell me it's more complicated for people of color because they're more "skeptical" about such things. I have no idea what he even meant, but why is it that I can't talk about my heritage without someone telling me "Shut up, you're too white and your heritage doesn't matter".

Non Americans don't obsess about race nearly as much as we do. I'm not saying racism isn't a problem here, but that's not under my control. I don't give a flying fuck about race. But don't make me feel like I can't talk about it without chastising myself for being a "passing" white person. I'm not like "Weee white pride" because white isn't a culture. I feel like people think if you look white then you don't have any culture. But Aside from being Spanish, Portuguese, I'm also Italian and Swiss. I grew up with European and Hispanic culture and I'm allowed to talk about it and like myself.
