The sheer improbability of your existence takes my breath away. I have discovered relatively few possible futures in which you exist at all. In most of them, you died as a child. In others..... well, I do not think I need to tell you all the ways in which you have died in other times. How many times have you been snatched from the jaws of death, in the most unlikely ways? I promise you, in other times that parallel ours, you have met your deaths at those moments. Yet here you are, with me still, defying the odds by existing. And by your existence, with every breath you take, you change all time. You are like a wedge driven into dry wood. With every beat of your heart, you are pounded deeper into 'what might be' and as you advance, you crack the future open, and expose a hundred, a thousand new possibilities, each branching into another hundred, another thousand.
Interesting....or are we all on planes that are there so that we fulfil the lessons that we need in order to move from one to the next. So in essence that we died as a child in one does not mean that we shall die that way on this plane . Instead does it mean that we are with those that we encounter again and again as we need to learn and grow. Enjoyed your thoughts. Thank you for the think.
Hi Heat, It really is nice to have someone understand, once in awhile. I guess we see things on the same level. Thanks for the thoughts
Very deep, esoteric thought!! I have read before in some metaphysical texts that we do actually exist on many different planes simultaneoulsy...just boggles my mind!
Yes that is what this is pure metaphysics. I love living in the metapysical world. I must confess however, I do have trouble with the material world on the surface.:sunglasse
There are some philosophers/physicists who contend that it's impossible to kill a conscious being. You simply move from one universe or plane to another. Even if you tried to kill yourself, you would show up somewhere else. I forget the name of the theory. There doesn't seem to be any in-between with the situation. Either you become non-existent or you exist for eternity. I don't know which is worse: non-existence or never being able to get rid of yourself. Putting up with yourself for all eternity doesn't seem all that much better than non-existence, when you stop and really think about it.
I agree that there is no way to kill a consciousness. We're all here forever in various shapes and forms. We all seem to like to attach ourselves to one form or the other and have a lot of trouble when the change comes. Like going from life to death for example. But death is only an illusion for pure consciousness.
I forgot which belief it is,but moving on to the next plane had something to do with the wheel of 84.It's been many years since I've explored the metaphysical.
It had to do with coming back to learn more/resolve more, type of thing.I haven't given it much thought in over 30 years.I think it was in eckankar(sp).
So how are things resolving themselves out? As I understand most hippies of the 60s' ended up getting jobs on wall street or selling used cars. I wonder if anyone made it through these hard times.
I have no idea what hippies are working on wall street. For me,I've always been into bikes and own a small custom shop.Don't make a lot of money, but I love my work.As for getting thru these hard times,we all do what we can to survive.
That's cool, It's not everyone who loves his work. I help out my mom and dad on this dairy farm. I love the animals so I figure that counts for alot.
I've spent much of my youth on a dairy farm.Doing chores at 3am to get ready for milking etc.The cleanup afterwards, the whole nine yards. In truth,I loved every single minute of it.
