I agree with everything bagel. I won't vote for just anyone just to not vote for Trump. I would rather not vote at all if there wasn't a good option. I do however think we have some good options this year. I'm mostly looking for a combination of who I resonate with, and what their actual chances of winning are.
How about Sanders with Vlad Putin as his running mate and for the United states to become the People's Republic of American states ???
That attitude is what got Trump elected. After 3 years of this clusterfuck any one of the Dem candidates is a better option. Yes I'll vote against Trump and against the Republicans in general.
A no vote is a vote though. Because you are just helping the percentages for success of the more loyal voters that do turn up
it could be argued that your attitude is what got trump elected. if people weren't so happy to buy into the two party system for hundreds of years, then maybe it wouldn't still be coming down to voting against one shitty party or the other.
Yeah I dont think you can really blame someone for not wanting to vote for someone they feel doesnt represent them. If voter turnout is low I think the blame, in part at least, falls on the candidates who fail to inspire voters enough to come out and vote for them
It's not though He did not receive 51% of American votes. The electoral college elected him which says some votes count more. It's true some people myself included did not vote in 2016 but under a true democratic system this would not matter. Don't fall for this dividing tactic of the elite. Some want to keep the "socialist" ideas out of America by telling us since we even dared to think of someone like Sanders we are responsible for Trump. What they want is for us to accept the Biden's of the world who cater to the 1% not us.
Full employment is nice. Also good to see The Rich finally paying the taxes on their McMansions instead of deducting the tax on the 1040's
If the Libertarian, Green or Independent Parties could build up a decent base then great, we'd have a multi party system. But in all the years they've been around they haven't been able to establish much of a foothold. For the most part they take away votes from a candidate who has a chance of winning. Was the last election a choice between two evils? Maybe, but we elected the bigger of two evils. Bigger by a mile.
of course they can't establish a foothold when everyone says that voting for them is throwing away your vote or effectively voting for the enemy.
Here's an idea: Get a guy into the white house that everybody hates Drive that hate to the point that people will vote for "anyone but" the guy you propped up Insert a candidate that's too good to be true Blow the impostor out of the water by not being him Turn America into a land of perpetual confusion Rule from on high for generations Watch the American obesity epidemic vanish It's called bait and switch folks.
There seems to be at least a half a dozen of you here spouting the exact same phrases from the same playbook......or same youtube videos Its weird
Oh, PLEEEEEZE! Have you been living in a cave? I suggest you check out the Donald Trump score card for 899 pages of answers to your question!
Locked children in cages Lied to the American people (still waiting on that health care reform) Betrayed our allies Called white supremacists good people Told people of color to go back where they came from Verbally attacked everyone who disagreed with him Enriched his pockets with taxpayer money Continued a pissing contest with China at the expense of American farmers Made it legal to fire homosexuals for their sexuality Lied about bribing Stormy Daniel's Extorted the president of Ukraine Interfered in the investigation of his extortion of Ukraine There's more, but I've got a Christmas party to get back to
Well the first two steps have already been taken, but I don't see any candidates too good to be true, just good enough. I'd vote for you against Trump. I'd vote for 6-eyed shaman. For Vanilla Gorilla. For orison. For onceburned? Maybe.
I'd stay out of the Trump Scorecard thread, there's never ever been 1x scorecard and the guy plays golf.
