Dunwich DA-120 is a solid state adaptation of a boosted Green Matamp in pedal form... The Green Matamp was the sound behind Sleep's Dopesmoker album, the artwork on the pedal is also a nod to the Dopesmoker artwork. That album launched a lot of guys into playing in the "stoner/doom" genre all chasing that tone. This pedal is groundwork for nailing that HeavyAsShit tone.




Note: The breathing apparatus the guys have on are bongs...

Anyways, this is one of those rare as hen's teeth pedals that only shows up occasionally on the used market. Not sure Dunwich makes them anymore either. I saw this one listed on eBay a few weeks ago with 3 other pedals I don't need, sold as a "Lot of 4". Price for all 4 pedals was way more than I would pay, but would be a deal if the other 3 were useful. (Not overpriced, but I wasn't gonna bite)

A guy on reverb.com bought them and listed them separately just yesterday. I made an offer on this one and he just accepted it.

So, I now have the illusive Dopesmoker pedal... It's green, it's christmas, I should go smoke a tree.
