I’m just NOT getting any of this barefoot stuff- someone please, please educate Eric on the benefits of barefooting. A friend of mine told me all about “earthing” and all of that, but come on, educate me on what I’m missing out on. Please.
People are trying to be increasingly healtht nowadays. Veganism and all that is rising. One day, barefooting will be fairly mainstream I reckon. Not anytime soon but it'll happen.
all this talk about skating brought back to my mind this movie we've been talking a lot about on this forums a few years ago... p.s. I live on the seaside too
well there's no consensus about the 'earthing' stuff. For me, I don't believe that but I do know that blood circulation in your feet will improve dramatically once they are no more squeezed in shoes and muscles in feet and calves are gonna get tougher, massively, because being barefoot forces the foot into all fashions of movements otherwise impossible while shod. For all the rest of the claims about the good sides of bf'ing, I hold no evidence. about "the day shoes vanished" scenario, I picture it very much like this
I'm not sure how to make them exactly, but I'm sure I would come up with something too. If all attempts fail maybe I'd kidnap a shoemaker
Exactly. Only place I go without shoes is inside. I don't want to track the filth of the outside world into my home. And you can't exactly take your bare feet off at the door.
It is normal that people who have zero interest about something don't get what's the deal with that. So what ?
I'm at a loss as to how you ended up on this site Eric. Not being a wise guy or anything but if I had to explain, you wouldn't understand....
The barefoot things doesn't phase me it's this stupid militant attitude behind it like oh everybody shouldn't wear shoes! Shoes this! Shoes that! You learn better in school without shoes! Pffff ~wank~
Just remember, horses and alike evolved hooves. So when someone talks about barefeet you can be like pfff not even horses are that stupid.
Don’t take this personal but I’m at a loss as to who you are (scratching my head). You can still explain though, feel free- either here in the thread or you can PM me if you’d like.
@Eric! .Haven't Worn Shoes For 13 Years......Haven't Owned A Pair Of Shoes For 13 Years. Lets See If You Can Process Those Statistics...... Cheers Glen.
Wow! What an incredible short film. I looked up the director Noel Black on IMDB. His bio says this about "Skater Dater" "Initially winning the Grand Prix and the Golden Palm Awards at the Cannes Film Festival, the picture went on to win more international film awards in 1966 and 1967 than any other American film. Black is best known for the his first feature-length film, Pretty Poison (1968), regarded by many as a film-noir classic, which starred Anthony Perkins and Tuesday Weld." Black had a prolific directing career, mostly in TV.
yep. i prefer to be barefoot myself. it's way more comfortable, i don't have to worry about putting on shoes every time i want to do something, the ground generally feels nice, i can walk wherever without having to worry about getting my shoes wet or muddy or something (feet dry way faster and are way easier to clean), and when i wear shoes too much my feet start to feel sticky and i always end up getting athlete's foot. but really, who give a fuck if someone likes shoes? the militant barefooters just make barefooters look insane, and discourage people from ever actually trying it.
