ok i was trying to get fabric cut to make a skirt for my little girl, i had about 5 or 6 rolls waiting to get a yard of each. I go to the counter and the woman completely ignores me for 7 or 8 min. She looks at me and looks back down and keeps ignoring me. Finally a older woman walks up and she says Can I help you and starts cutting the womans fabric. WTF??? I walked off, but went back cuz I really wanted the fabric, the line was huge and she was waiting on everyone, everyone EXCEPT ME!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I called district and they sent a manager to talk to her, I don't usually care and get mad and go to managers about their employees but it really pissed me off. I am gonna go back today when she isnt working and get some one else to cut it for me...
Call the manager back saying 'as I thought about the Sales Associate's boorish behavior, it suddenly dawned on me how outrageous she really was'... Go on and on and on and on and on like Arlo in "Alice's Restaurant". After 30min to an hour, the manager will do virtually anything to get you off their back...hold out for a $100 gift certificate. *L* .
she probably noticed you were a hippy, and knew youd probably ask for alot of fabric, so she just ignored you until you left.
thats probly it HAHA i had a ton of crap on the table... i wolda cut it myself if she didnt want to do it for me all she had top do is hand over them scissors
Walmart is a great place to throw a stink.... they will give you just about anything.... I always have issues getting fabric at walmart... there is never anyone to cut the fabric or the wait on everone else first... So i dont get fabric there unless its something amazing that i cant get a jo-anns
A fairly sharp pocket knife will cut fabric. aka 'self service' Sometimes it'll even get you the help that's in the Ignore Mode...
i'm the one they're always helping first. i'm short, but i'm scary. and i look rich for some reason. maybe it's because i'm a snob.
do you have a big city with a garment district near by? we have one in LA and it's full of gorgeous fabric really cheap
ahahahaha. i LOVE the garment district. oh, holy hell, i used to find the funniest clothes and the neatest shoes and stuff down there.
not really, im in a small town, closest is about 2 hours, i don't drive out of town much with two monsters. I went to a diff store and got almost everything I needed today tho... And when she was ignoring us my boyfriend looked right into her eyes and said "you need her to cut that right?" she obviously didn't like something about me or my phamily...... oh well i got what i needed
oh man, i goddamn hate rude clerks. Had one talking on the phone when i was waiting for a subway sandwich. Soooo close to reaching over and clicking it off and saying 'NOW, will you help me?!'...i write alot of letters to managers about bad service-and good too-just today pleasantly surprised how friendly some young guys were at a gas station. They even apologized for the long wait (which wasnt that long)-so tonite i'll write the manager and let him know they deserve a pat on the back-I'd go back to walmart and kick that gal's ass if I were you, and i know you can do it!
