i really dont know what it is, its like phil collin's or sting, they annoy me far more than bob geldoff i admit, theres just something, that really annoys me about a singing drummer...especially phil collins. sting i have my reasons for...he just annoys me over all but bob geldoff i dunno...he just gets on my tits a bit
He played "I don't like mondays" and then "Rat trap". A few nights later he was on parkinson and he played "Rat trap", and then "I don't like mondays". What a showman. I wonder what he will surprise us with next.
He did not play I Don't Like Mondays on Parky... he played Diamond Smile you cheeky little fuckwit... Recorded the repeat of the Brits last night... the version of I Don't Like Mondays was sheer genius... one of the best songs of all time... isn't it a shame that his music is always going to be overlooked when compared to saving thousands of lives?... Fly...
Hmm dunno, I sometimes think he's ok then other times think he's crap... He was good in The Wall (love that film)... and he's a great dad to those kids... But I am not sure his music is all that good... I think maybe he got the award cos of the Band Aid stuff, which isn't a bad thing I guess... I like the original performace of "I don't like Mondays" (the video thing) but his performance on the Brits wasn't the best IMO. Will have to listen to more of his music to make my mind up maybe. C
