My dating time frame has been very limited. So I may not be the best person to answer this. I am more prone towards long term relationships then random dating. With that said most of the women I have been with I guess you could say were on the heavy side. I have never found thin women sexually attractive. For some reason I see them as under nourished or sick-ish.
I like a female with " a little meat on the bones" as a old family member used to say. Again this is my personal preference.

  3. You shouldn't worry about other people's weight.
You should worry about how you treat others.

Indeed. People are reluctant to sign so far. Speaking out on this matter is obviously still taboo!

Not that I date chicks, but on the other side of it--I wouldn't rule out a fat guy, but I would certainly not gravitate towards him, either. For me it comes down to a lifestyle difference--I am very active and I want a partner who is active, too. Gotta keep up with me. And I have found a general inverse relationship between fatness and activity level (doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out). So, yeah.

It's funny. My gf is overweight. And I think she's beautiful. All my life growing up I had pics kn my walls of girls who looked like me. Who knew I'd fall in love with a tall, thicc, caucasian woman? I...think I like fat women. There. I said it

Totally depends on the woman, some women can carry a lil extra weight and still be attractive many cannot.

There's a difference between fat and being overweight i think (has been discussed already in this thread). I can easily be attracted to an overweight woman. But when they're fat they're not for me unfortunately. Maybe one in a million, and then it would be because of all her other characteristics.

If overweight and fat are actually interchangable terms and obese the term for too fat/overweight, I would nuance it by saying mildly overweight/fat can and regularly is attractive to me, but real fat/overweight not.

I guess. Seems to me that when men gain weight, it goes to their bellys. When women gain weight, it goes to the parts of the body that are aesthetically pleasing. I mean, if you're into big boobs, thick thighs, big butts, etc you kinda half to be into women with some weight. Men and women have legs, arms, faces, etc. We are the same in that regard. But the things that differentiate the female body from the male one get accentuated when a woman is large. Maybe it's because I'm short, thin, and petite, and have the body of a 12 year old, that I find this attractive. But yeah..

My weight gain goes straight on my stomach. Not my ass, not my breasts, just the midsection. Mind you I'm active enough to keep my arms, legs and butt in shape.

Me being a big breast and ass bloke, I find that rather dispiriting news Irm.:sob:
Keep active though as that's the only way to keep in shape.

One way or another though, I always found this holds true!

I will preface this by saying that I'm overweight, not obese, but probably 30ish pounds overweight and working on it (loosing about 0.5-1 pound per week right now). I won't date a woman who's more than 30ish pounds overweight, and certainly not anyone who's obese. It's got nothing to do with personality or looks and entirely to do with health and what that means in the future. The whole "healthy at any weight" fad that lives in some corners of the internet is extremely unhealthy and doing a disservice to overweight and obese individuals. At a certain point, it all catches up to you.

I used to say weight didn't matter as long as they had a great personality and a pretty face. That was before I became an emergency department nurse. Now it matters, a lot. Sure, when you're young (younger than 50ish) you can compensate and it doesn't seem like it matters much, but after a certain age, it does absolutely catch up with you. There are so many health issues that go hand-in-hand with being overweight: diabetes and all the issues that brings about, metabolic syndrome, decreased immunity, sleep apnea, congestive heart failure, etc... Women are prone to chronic UTIs because they're unable to properly clean themselves. Then there are the mobility issues, nothing is worse than watching an older obese individual try to move, it's painful. There are the falls, sure anyone can fall, but when you're obese and overweight it's so much more difficult to pick you up and we risk injuring ourselves.

This is just not something I want to deal with in the future with a romantic partner. It's painful to look in the eyes of a helpless spouse of an obese or overweight patient knowing that the patient did this to themselves. And yes, they did do it to themselves. No one made them over eat, no one made them not exercise. No one made them not take care of themselves. Very few overweight individuals actually have a hormonal issue causing their weight, and guess what. If they do, there's treatment plans for them.
