No connection between the two for me to be honest. The desire to be naked in some situations goes back to my teenage years.
I hike barefoot and have gone off trail and gotten naked a few times, but that's it. I'd like to try hiking naked, but too afraid of getting caught and possibly arrested.
I only usually go barefoot when I’m naked.,I’ve always enjoyed being nude, and I don’t feel completely nude unless I’m barefoot too. Hiking is different. I hike naked a lot in the summer and typically I wear shoes. You can’t hike the terrain and tempo I want barefoot. Even if you’re a badass barefooter and I’m not.
I'm the same way. I hate wearing footwear to begin with. It seems silly to wear them if the rest of me is bare. But I've always hiked barefoot as I like feeling the different terrains beneath me, and being closer to the earth. Moss feels the best. I only hiked in sandals when walking down to the shores of Hippie Hollow. A lot of bare slabs of rock roasting in the sun, waiting to burn your soles off. Maybe I could have handled it when mine were more calloused. Gotta toughen them back up again.
For me, barefooting does not necessarily lead to an urge to go naked, but I think there is a connection of both though. On the one hand, if I go nude I prefer to go barefoot too as for me it feels way more holistic this way, and the sensual experience is more intense. On the other hand, barefooting gives you a chance to have a little sensual experience where entire nudity isn’t possible, so for me I would say barefooting is the “little nudity” - a little delight you can enjoy in your everyday life, whereas nudity needs some special setting usually.
