Different age preferrence for top or bottom

I've never actually been with a man but I do fantasize about it from time to time. Usually I think about bottoming but sometimes I like think about topping too.

Without really thinking about it, as soon as I started fantasizing about being with men it was always the case that if I am thinking about topping then I imagine being with a younger man. If I fantasize about bottoming then it's always an older man.

Is it common for people to have this kind of preference?
