I don't understand why people get so huffy puffy over dems vs. repubs, in my opinion that is likely exactly what they want you to worry about so everyone forgets the real issues. Do you really think it matters to them much if at all??? For some maybe, but lets face it, they get paid regardless.

Truth is is that both sides are screwing over the American people in just about equal amounts. I listened to a program on public radio last night about ranchers in Montana being legally pushed off their land because they only "own" the surface land, everything underneath is owned by the gov. and leased out to oil companies. These things happen everyday.

The American people are OWNED by a very few. The number is somewhere around 5,300. They are deciding the vast majority of what you see, hear, are able to buy, what your kids learn in school, and just about everything else if you let them.

The top 1% of U.S. citizens have 41% of the wealth. With the next 4% having 21% of the wealth.

I guess I don't really have a point besides bickering over who is right and who is wrong seems to be missing the bigger picture, and that is an America that has turned into a facist state. The only difference between our gov. and facist states that failed is that the government now has figured out exactly how much freedom the people need to keep them blindfolded, and how to take their money and freedoms away without them knowing it.

Guess I'll get off the soapbox, I just needed to vent :)

    E-X-A-C-T-L-Y!

Yes, it is exactly what they want! The system was set up that way for a reason. Anyone who has studied the secret socieites of the elite knows they operate in part by polarizing the masses. Thus, they are easier to control because the two sides are busy arguing over the differences between themselves, not realizing that the strings of both are pulled by the very same few people at the top, thus failing to see the whole picture that extends beyond the left/right lie.

Again, you are 100% right. Both sides are owned and controlled at the very top by the very same corporations, who are in turn owned by the world banks (Rockefellers, Rothschilds), who are the ones who really dictate what happens in the world.

    Yes! Yes! Yes!

People cannot even begin to imagine the extent in which they are manipulated and controlled on a daily basis while not even knowing it. So much of what we accept as "reality" is, in fact, pure illusion and delusion. People cannot understand the systems of manipulation and control, so they walk straight into the lie believing they know the truth that has been essentially dictated to them through the media and "politics."

Vent! This is the best thread I've read in here in a long time.

I too have recently come to the same conclusion (back during the election campaign). I was starting to realize that it really doesn't matter who gets elected, each candidate will have to deal with the same shit and will still be a corporate whore. Kerry was basically just saying he'll do everything Bush would, "but better". No real difference between the two. Everything any politician says is rhetoric, just to get elected. They don't really give a shit about our concerns, not much beyond what it takes to get re-elected. I don't know if I buy the whole "secret society/government" thing, seems possible but who can say...but even if there isn't some shadow government, you still have these rich fucks just looking out for themselves, their friends, and their supporters. It's all about the bottom line, more so now that our government has sold out to the corporations and turned the US into a quasi-fascist government

I agree, this is the best thread in a while! I don't know if I posted my thoughts or not, but I believe the Matrix is just a metaphor for our society. Instead of being controlled by machines, we are controlled by the elite few & money. We are dependent on oil companies for practically everything. its time we did something about it & focus on the real issues, not the petty differences.

I was at the Vice Presidential debate and there were groups out in the free speech zone with signs, ones for Bush and ones for Kerry. Some were going at it to the point where they almost got into fist fights. I thought about it and wondered why they were getting so upset over two candidates who were so dismal. Out of the hundreds of people I saw, there was only one person with a sign for a third party candidate.
