Has anyone read this book? I am reading it right now and so far I like it a lot. But I love books like that. Just wondering if anyone else does too...

it's about two young girls that start out not really knowing each other. One of them invites the other one to spend the summer with her at her dads house on an island. Her dad is a hippy and her family is a little strange and the other girl comes from a pretty average family and shes shy. After that they become summer sisters and spend summers with each other and then later the book follows their adulthood. I haven't read all of it yet so thats about all i can tell you. but its good so far! :)

i read this a few summers ago, when i was reading challenged books. poor judy blume. everything she writes gets challenged.

I don't recall much about it but i did enjoy it. it was challenged for sexuality and lesbian undertones, which amused me.
