Ok folks, Here is the situation. I got an aero cloner just for kicks right. It is one that has 36 sites. So i follow all the directions and in 4 days I have roots. 100% friggin roots in 4 days. Today is day 5 and the roots are an inch or two long and I am wanting to transplant them into 1 gallon pots of soil. My experience has been with rockwool cubes and rapid rooter soil plugs in the past. Those provide a little security as the roots are allready attached to the medium. So I now have bare roots attached to a stalk. i was thinking of mixing a light soil mix, foxx farms 40% and perlite/vermiculite 60% and just transplanting into 16 ounce cups for the transition. I am a little nervous about breaking the roots though. Any ideas here. I know there is an AERO JUNKY on here, lol. I am never going to root cuttings with anything but AERO ever again. I going to clone with aero and eventually vegg them in aero also. With the outdoor season coming up, I will be able to dedicate more time to hydro/aeroponics without the fear of losing a crop to mistakes. This is like a new playground for me. I love it. But in the mean time, I need to get these rooted females into soil. Thanks for your help guys.
--Hey MedH2! -Good to see ya postin! -Every once in a while I like to switch off moms so I'l take a rooted clone and gently burry its roots into soft puffy coco choir, -I then flood and drain it next to my current mom. -every fyew days it might be nesasary to put a bit more coco on top to make up for the settelin. -Dont make it too puffy tho, ya gotta support the plant, but ya cant squish the roots, like a balance. -Anyhow, -Thats how I do it. -Mabey this will work for you in soil but I only do it in coco choir. -SWEET about them roots Brudda!
Thanks Lumpy. I was thinking you was the aero man. lmao. I have been posting on a local medical MJ site lately. Seems that since the site changed over to here, alot of kids been on here posting. Meaning teenagers. i miss all of you guys. I really do. i will be back here more often. i have plenty of the cocoa cohair. A whole block about 50 lbs worth. Should I rinse it well prior to transplanting into it? Or just flood the tables a few times and do a rez change? Thanks Lumpy.
--Hey Howdy MedH! ! -I like to put it in the pot and run some tap water threw it slowley, let it drain threw the bottom, ya might wanna kneed it around with your hands a bit and mix it all up, you can let it drain and then press out the water with your hands and fill it again and repeat it a fyew times but I think I only do it because Im compulsive . -Then I let it soak in a buket of 5.5 water for a fyew hours, then I rince it with 6.4 water. -Im not too shure ya gotta do all this shit but like I said, Im compulsive, Heh Heh. -I do this with clones that have already been veged in 3" pots of rocks in bubble buckets with ffgb for a couple of weeks so I guess ya might wanna gettem eatin ferts before ya do this, I go from the bubble buckits into the coco choir and I sit the new mom rite next to the present mom rite in the same flood and drain machine. --If I got some old pots of coco in my shed Im gonna put a clone into a mom pot tomorow, if I do Il get some pics ! -Yea... -I even use my old shit. -Ya just gotta get the old roots out!
--What a total pain in the ass this is! -Anyhow... -What I did was I took my old coco choir and cleaned it out by hand of old roots an stuff and put it in a 5 gal bukit(about halfway up) and dumped a bunch of hydropyrox on it and mixt it up real good, then I dumped a bunch of tap water in it and mushed it around by hand and then I grabed it out by hand and squeezed it out and into some pots. -Then I ph'ed some water down to 5.5 and dumped about 5 gal threw about 2.5 gal of coco. I let it sit like that for a while and ph'ed some water down to 6.4 and dumped it threw, then I let it sit for a bit to drain. -Then I pulled a clone out of my bukit and pulled its roots out of the net pot and stuck it in a hole I dug in the coco in a 2 gal pot and filled in around it with some puffy coco choir. -Then I stuck it next to mom and drew some mom nutes up and watered the clone nanually. -Now she'l just sit there untill she roots, then sheyl eventually take over as the new mom. -Anyhow.... -This is what I do with my dirty shit, you autta be ok doin somethin less dramatic with the ner stuff. -I I would still balance the ph in it by dumpin a bunch of water ph balanced to what you run your ph at, then dig a li'l hole and stick it in and burry your roots! -I took some pics and I'l postem later, I gotta stop for a while, I got some relations commin over.
-Sory about the pics but they didnt come out too good, -The first one should be with the coco in the buckit with the tap water and peroxide, I mush it by hand threw my fingers to agitate it, then I squeze the water out and put it in my pot/pots. -The second pic should be with my pots full and my bukit now washed out and full of 5.5 water, I run it threw the bukits and let it sit to drain, then I do it again with 6.4 water and let it sit to drain. -Now its ready! -The 4th pic should be of the pot full of coco with a hole dug in it and the clone ready to go, -Its a bitch for me to pull the roots out of the rocks and pot but I usually get it prety good, -the clone in the picture aint the one I used bein that I fukt it up, I did get the next one tho, I'l get a pic of it up tomorow. -You shouldnt have any probs bein you dont gotta fuk with no roots threw a net pot ! -Ya might wanna vegem a bit tho before ya putem in the coco, -just so they dont have to get used to eatin -and bein in coco choir, at the same time, --I think they like it better when ya letem get used to one thing at a time! .
