I'll be interested to see folks in the next few years and how they talk about the pandemic and whether or not that admit they contributed and fell victim to the scare and fear campaign.

    Because Irm will remember.

Yea. It won't be over for a long time though according to the article. They're saying another year to eighteen months before it's all squared away/validated.

"The penalties for individuals who defy isolation orders are equally harsh.

For example, under New South Wales’ Public Health Act, failing to comply with a public health order carries a penalty of up to $5500. That rises to $11,000, and six months in prison, if the person in question provides “false or misleading” information in “purported compliance” with an order.

So, if someone were to sign a customs form committing to self-isolate, and then fail to do so, they could face jail time.

“If they’re in breach of public health provisions, because we’ve enacted emergency powers in our Public Health Act, those individuals, action can be taken against them,” Ms Berejiklian said today.

“We don’t want it to come to that. This is a health issue, primarily. It shouldn’t be a law and order issue. We really want people to respect the rules we’ve put in place. It’s there to keep people safe and reduce death.”

Once you get measles do you think getting a vaccine is going to help you any? Or if you happen to get polio you think you're going to get cured with a polio vaccine that is not the way it works

I'm not 100% on how you're making me the enemy.

What did I say? that there is a cure? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to mislead. And you're right, a vaccine isn't a cure. It'd be like a flu shot; it works to increase your immune system's response - doesn't it build antibodies or something? I don't even know how it works.

    I don't think I was promoting a cure though.

The last human survivors will gather for one final battle, fighting over the carcass of the old world. I will watch from the distance, and weep.

You know you're probably right - at least partially.

Before that post - the one you've quoted here - I posted a quote from MSN.com that said something to the effect of "There's a vaccine". After that I searched around and found what you've quoted. I think that in a very chronological sense it provided a linear approach to discussing the idea of a vaccine being introduced.

I stand by that post, though you make an interesting point. I don't really know how reliable that particular source is, but Reuters (one that I do know) had a similar article that I didn't put up. We could look into it though as it wasn't terribly long ago. :)

  18. Point is that vaccines take a few years to make. So i have my doubts that Germany has created something in a matter of days. That's why i say don't believe everything you read.
My sister in law works for a cancer organisation in a lab so she knows timeframes of when vaccines are around and other things.

Yeah but it's Germany, we were prepared for this 75 years ago.
