Okay, so I'm not genius, and I'm not saying I have the solution to the problem of getting drugs past dogs, but I think I might be onto something here, and perhaps you guys could help me out a little... So let's say that someone has a large quantity of a certain drug, let's use pot for example... Now, I've heard stories about how a dog can lose it's trail due to an animal or person going through a body of water, like a lake or a pond. There are numerous tales of slaves wading in rivers and streams to escape hounds, and prisoners also do the same thing and it seems to typically work pretty well. (the old song "Wade in the Water" talks about that some). Now then, people have certain oils and such on their skin that float to the surface of the water, but if it's cool water, then sometimes it seems that dogs have a hard time smelling the oils and therefore they lose the person or animal that they're going after. How many of us have farted on a cold day and noticed a substantial difference in the amount of odor put out than if we farted on a warm day... there just seems to be a difference. So let's take these two concepts and apply them to getting drugs past drug-sniffing dogs: My theory, and this is simply a theory, is that if someone was to take an amount of a certain substance, and then put that substance in a plastic, water-tight bag, and then freeze the bag so that the substance was completely surrounded by oh... let's say three to four inches of solid ice on all sides and at every angle, then perhaps the gases that carry the odor of the chemicals would be held in and condenced by the ice, therefore trapping them and making it impossible for the dog to detect them. As long as the person has not handled the block of ice, nor the substance with his/her bare hands, and they change gloves between handling the substance, and then the ice, then there should be no oily residue of the substance left on the person, nor the ice... All in all... it would create an unpenetrable brick of ice that should have enough time to last several hours in a standard cooler in someone's car as long as other ice is heaped on top... i would be impressed to see a dog sniff through that! I don't know if that would actually work, but it's just a theory on how to get by... your thoughts? __________________
hmmmmm..... well i think i have a better idea. in certain military catalogs and im sure pet catalogs they sell electronic dog deterants. making a high pitch noise above the human sound threshold. you know like dog whistles. just pack your bag full of cocaine in colombia then flip of the device. take a very nervous trip on a airplane. boom. white heaven. but im sure in this day and age they have machines that detect electronic devices like lets say a bomb detonator. but who knows maybe it would work. (ok dea agents you can unplug your ears now)
sounds like a damn good idea. i don't know if it'll work, but it sure seems possible. Wouldn't want to be the one to test it tho
you could get in some big trouble by fucking with dogs using dog deterants and shit, the ice seems like a really good idea if it'll work
That would be neat to test, you could use one of those ice packs with the plastic around it. I'm pretty sure its not just water we get the sent to the pharmacy when refrigerated drugs are ordered. They stay frozen for a long ass time. My pop uses them when his back hurts you may be able to have one in the waistband of your pants and act like you're back is bothering you.
Dogs lose scent in bodies of water, in part because the scent was immersed in water, AND the water is often moving. Personally, I don't think a couple of inches water will throw the dogs off. But I wouldn't want to try it. I'd hate for you to get busted.
id put it in something THICK like peanut butter or shampoo. and before you put it in the shampoo or whatever, cover the bag in vaseline and put it in another bag, repeat several times (ever seen the movie belly?).
i think you would already be in serious shit after being caught with a bunch of keys of coke in your bags. i dont think using a dog deterent would get you in any more trouble. but this is just somethin to try the next time you take a trip to colombia.
Actually, I am pretty sure you do get in trouble for using a dog deterrant. The dogs are treated as officers of the law, so it's kind of like lying to an officer. It's just another thing to tag on your charges, sort of like states that have "drug tax stamps." The drugs are illegal, so you're obviously not going to go down to city hall and get a stamp for 10 pounds of weed, so they bust you with the weed without the tax stamps and get you for evading the tax.
I don't know how well this would work. It sounds like a good idea, esp. being frozen. But you would be surprised the kind of shit those puppies can smell through. Like detecting bags of cocaine immersed in sulfuric acid in converted, sealed car batteries. If it were my freedom, I wouldn't chance it. But it has to be better than just throwing the stuff in a duffel bag in the trunk, so if you need to transport it I suppose it's worth the effort for the possible if unlikely benefit.
how the hell do smells travel? I always thought they travel through the air.. why doesn't simply using an air tight container work? can smells actually travel through solid materials???
I walked right past a drug dog on the way back from chile, carrying quite a bit of hashoil and weed. put it into packing, then wrap with saran wrap. This just keeps it all together. I suggest then packing this into a thermos (air, water, everything else tight). Also carry soemthing that smells strongly, i.e. peppers, coffee, but don't get too close, with the peppers. It hurts the dog's nose, and it'll go crazy. EDIT: You also need to wash the saran wrap with something strong, preferably ammonia/ethanol. I suggest doing this part in another area than the original. Think of it like a bacteria hot zone.
