Why bother trying to stay longer?

 

it always remains unanswered when someone gets banned. whatever the offending post was gets deleted, and all we see is a contributing member no longer allowed to contribute.

personally i think they should leave whatever posts lead to the bannings. at least that way people will know that there was a reason for it.

I agree, then again I disagree. The ban on the member could be temporary and they may come back at some point. And if that member does come back he or she could be subject to hostility from HF members who happen to see those posts if they’re left up and never taken down. Instead of being judged for what they did in the past, this gives them a fresh start. But some members have been banned because of these things, have been allowed to come back, and went right back to doing the same damn thing.

And-racially offensive comments left up by the site, only says that the forum condones /supports such behavior. That’s why the mods remove things like that.
