I watched Minority Report last night. It was interesting coming on the heels of the discussion about destiny in here. I thought it was a good movie but I'm glad I didn't see it when it came out. It was released a couple years after The Matrix, maybe even within the span of a year of The Matrix Reloaded and there are several ideas that are similar. Similar to the point where I think I probably would've seen it as ripoff at the time but now I view it as approaching similar themes from a different angle. Reminded me how great of an actor Tom Cruise is.

 

Only a set of precogs for DC never really understood how they would implement it nationally. Thought the precogs needed to be special or is just because they take the drugs that makes them see into the future. Ill need to revisit the movie. I liked it.

 

Another theme explored which is timely is the freedom people would give up in order to feel safe.
