Hmm last shot. if you can fit in both "O"s of barefoot, you can put them one on top of the other: BAREF8T
^ Now you're thinking along the contrived lines that we limeys have to think to get any vague words on a plate!
well we don't have this problem , license plates are assigned as they come, point. And if an unfortunate case occurs to you and you get thingies like CA 220NE , TR 010NA , AC 010NE (dork, big whore, you twit) only options are sucking it up or selling the car !
Hats off or should I say shoes off to you Jager ! You came up with UNSHOD1 and BAREF8T. Brilliant !!! Both are great !!! Will make final pick tomorrow night. Thanks again to all my barefoot brothers !!!
And the winner is BAREF8T. Thanks again to JAGER. If you ever see a black jeep in jersey with the plates BAREF8T, the driver of course will be barefoot !!! Fifty dollars well spent !!! Much better than wasting fifty dollars on any form of footwear !!!
Love it! I still envy you the $50 bit though. Are you allowed to keep the plate if you change vehicle?
good question Charlie 35 . legally we are supposed to turn in the expired plates in new jersey, but nobody ever does. never had vanity plates before. in jersey we can transfer plates from one car to the next. in theory, if you only own one car at a time, you can have the same plates for life !!! will keep these BAREF8T plates forever !!!
obviously others had this idea also ... SW in back stance with FEET license plate by Stephen Watson, auf Flickr
Interesting. Does this work on a state by state or US wide basis? E.g. Given that someone in California has the plate "BAREFTD", would that preclude you from having the same plate in New Jersey? Geeky I know, but the US system is obviously far more liberal than ours and I'm intrigued as to how it works. Presumably there's some limit on what you can choose, ie no rude/swear words etc. Is it $50 in every state? (Those that have understandably come on here to discuss the subject of barefooting, go to another thread now).
Each state issues its own plates. Theoretically you could have the same personalized plate issued in more than one state. I just checked Texas and BAREFTD is available.
