There are always a certain type of individual who is out to abuse the system. This guy did not do anything illegal, just abused the free consumer market out of pure selfishness.
Second in an ongoing series. Tell me what you think, and if you know of any cartoon-worthy news, post it in the "Latest News" thread and I can draw it.
Nah, my sister lives in Aus and she told me they aren't accepting any returns period. The signs pretty muchsay in the store something like "we will not refund any items you've hoarded" but I agree, they should be taking them back. It's like they're trying to teach people a lesson well okay I'll just have 200 rolls for myself over the next few years, even though I tried to do the right thing and return it. Maybe not in the case of ebay sellers Etc. But for someone who just got swept up in the moment and decided they needed toilet paper because it's all run out (which is totally acceptable I feel) and then decided to do the right thing and return it, I think it's rediculous they get turned away.
I do my business during work hours so I don't use toilet paper at home. We still have 23+48 rolls. What's that.. 75. 75 rolls and nope I didn't hoard, I bought a 24 pack 5 weeks ago or so and my boss gave each of his employees a box of 48 toilet rolls. and said "now you don't have to lose your shit"
Loo paper supplies are getting back to normal in Oz now, so it was right of the aforementioned supermarket manager to refuse a refund.
Went to the grocery store today... Toilet paper isle was full for the first time in over a month of being empty.. Odd thing was it was all the store branded rolls/packages... No "name brand" packages at all. I mean, who cares, but there's usually 5-6 brands and many varieties... Now it's like. "this is all you get... don't like it? Do without" lol
yeah i was able to get tp at walmart a few weeks ago, but same deal, it's only their brand available. and believe me, as soon as you try to wipe with walmart toilet paper, you will care.
Here's what I don't get... There are warehouses full of this stuff somewhere... Not just TP, whatever else you see in the stores, or "used to see" in the stores. (some canned foods, rubbing alcohol, vitamin C, etc.) That stuff is out there in storage/warehouses... Trucks are still running... Deliveries being made... but certain items? Not so much. Somebody, somewhere, is telling them to "not stock" certain items. Weird...
