Mate I'd be willing to wager a good amount of money that 90% of the tools in my toolbox are bigger than the tool that's in your tighty whiteys
One of the things I had listened to Dad more was about welding. He spent a lifetime working in the Nuc shop for a major manufacture where everyone of his welds were X-rayed. Probably one of the best welders I've ever come across. He taught me a little stick welding but not much on mig or tig. I have a smaller wire feed welder and I understand the concept, but in reality my welding really sucks.
I'm good with stick, like to the point the flux peels off itself. I remember my teacher saying that's when it's perfect. I never got the hang of MIG which is tons easier, its just a trigger that feeds it for you. I learned that, stick was for welding, MIG was for filling holes. I also did TIG and Oxy welding. But stick was my first and fav. I also suffered bad eyesite after and since welding, have had 2 cornea transplants. I don't know if they're connected but probably, since my eye disease /might/ be due to UV rays, which makes perfect sense as I welded for 2 years.
He always told me that the secret to Oxy welding was to get both materials at the same temp before joining them. I've seen him use old coat hangers for light Oxy stuff. and I've seen him using a stick welder to fill a hole the size of a silver dollar. I can run an arc with a stick that would look like a row of dimes but the wire just defeats me. Maybe I'm using it on too thick of material. I tried once pre-heating the material with a torch and that seemed to help.
I was being sarcastic. But grubby kids would handle more products and put them back by parents. I generally shop knowing exactly what I need.. Our store here are not all weird like I read see on the news. My giant eagle had an employee test positive, didnt change my activities there.. Shop and Save dont even have shields up, no mask enforcement. I went to a chicken farm yesterday. I probably have the poultry flu now. cluck cluck..
absolutely infuriates me! And yet I am guilty of it. I'm the kind of person to lecture luv about leaving something out in the rain and then find something that I left in the rain. But then it genuinely surprises me. I feel more conscientious than I actually am.
I tend to go for overkill too, Irm. bought a new tape measure recently... It's too big. Awkward to use when measuring small driftwoods. It's like, what you want if you're building a house. No idea why I thought I needed an 8m measure.
Okay I feel dumb, but I can't find my recycle bin.. on my computer. Deleted a folder by mistake and I want to restore it. Search isn't helping. Where is it meant to be.
I hate when I ask a question and someone completely misunderstands it and talks down to me like i'm stupid for asking a simple question, when really my question wasn't simple at all. Pet peeve for the day It seems to happen a lot to me so maybe I'm bad at framing questions? Or people just don't read their emails carefully enough is what I think
and no, you're not bad at framing questions. everyone else is stupid. i know this, because it happens to me too.
i just freaked out because i couldnt see my recycle bin lol. but its not on my main monitor its on the left screen top left. ok go to your start menu, control panel, personalisations, select your theme, click change desktop items and you should be able to see it in there. I think maybe you have it hidden, you should be able to select it to not hidden. It might be worded slightly different pending our windows. im only windows 7. but you're right i tried searching too and nothing.
