I've always felt we should proceed as if it won't, based on the idea that it will happen again anyway.

Yeah.. I feel like _I_ have sociopathic personality when comparing myself to the majority. But I know how much I care about people and mankind in general.. I know I'm empathic to a degree that is sometimes physically painful. So that means not everyone who accepts death as part of life, and therefore, deaths of some people not being the worst thing that can happen, is a sociopath.

My boss was actually awesome and supplemented the first few payments himself to pay me 100%.
