According to the CDC some 7500 people die naturally every day. Right now the batting average is 8100..

    It's insane, yes.
they're already saying they can't sustain this 80% of wages furloughing thing..
so what they intend to do if things don't change by July, I don't know.
I'll probably start looking for supermarket job!

More persons are allergic to the antibiotics than they are hydroxychloroquine.. All drugs have side effects.

UK furlough scheme extended by four months

The chancellor rejected suggestions some people might get "addicted" to furlough if it was extended.

"Nobody who is on the furlough scheme wants to be on this scheme," the chancellor said.

    Well I can guarantee THAT'S wrong : )

What that one fails to mention though is with everyone sitting around inside for 6, 8 weeks, snacking, watching TV, leading a more sedentary lifestyle, you are going to get more deaths from heart attacks and strokes, and other ailments as they are not out in the sun

Its a newspaper article, focusing on the doom and gloom of covid

But just how many if those extra deaths are from the lockdowns itself. Road deaths are 150 a month in the UK, would have saved most of them, deaths from accidents, probably small increase as most of them occur at home.

But Id be more inclined to think 1/3 of those extra 50,000 deaths are really from an increase in heart attack and stroke.

All registered deaths include suicides as well, UK rate was about 500 a month in previous years, and would have gone up

Wouldnt be too outrageous to think at least 20% of those excess deaths are actually a result of the lockdowns, 10,000 deaths

Trump urges reopening, as thousands getting sick on the job

Even as President Donald Trump urges getting people back to work and reopening the economy, an Associated Press analysis shows thousands of people are getting sick from COVID-19 on the job.

Recent figures show a surge of infections in meatpacking and poultry-processing plants. There's been a spike of new cases among construction workers in Austin, Texas, where that sector recently returned to work.

The people who are getting sick right now are generally people who are working,” Dr. Mark Escott, a regional health official, told Austin’s city council. “That risk is going to increase the more people are working.”

Thankyou for providing another article proving the lockdowns were a waste of time. There is the clickbait headline, then, the very same article ( that you posted) there is this:

"In New York, the hardest-hit state during most of the pandemic, a new survey suggests that factors other than the workplace were involved in many recent cases.
The survey of 1,269 patients admitted to 113 hospitals over three recent days confounded expectations that new cases would be dominated by essential workers, especially those traveling on subways and buses. Instead, retirees accounted for 37% of the people hospitalized; 46% were unemployed."
