This Girl...She's Incredible

Alright...I'm new to this whole "liking the same sex" thing.

Our school Valentine's dance was last Friday. This girl named Elizabeth, who I had met at our school Showcase a couple weeks earlier, was there. We hung out the whole time and during "Your Body's A Wonderland" by John Mayer (my favorite slow song) I asked her to dance. At first, it was just for fun because all the guys at my school are douchebags. But, during the middle of the song I realized 'hey, i really like this girl.' I think she felt the same way because the rest of the night she kept hugging me and holding my hand and playing with my hair (she hadn't done that before) and before we left she gave me a hug and whispered in my ear "I'll become a lesbian for you."

I don't know if she was kidding or not. But, I can't stop thinking about her. She is so...incredible.

Anyways...my point is: How do I find out if she likes me the same way? I don't want to come on too strong or anything. Should I just hold myself back and wait for it to unravel or not? What do ya'll think?

 

If she actually did say that to you, hang out with her some more just the two of you, then finally just ask, if she's cool and digs you, then it allw orks out, if she isn't into the same sex thing, by all accounts she sounds cool and probably would understand and such....anyways it sounds very nice I wish the best of luck to you.

 

You know what's weird.... my friends and I hug a lot and all (both guys and girls) a lot more when we're stoned and everyone has started making out with each other regardless of sex while stoned... it's odd... I've accidently made out with my friend's boston terrier.

anyways - um I think playing with the hair, holding hands, and hugging a lot would be sign's that she is into you.

I think her telling you "I will become a lesbian for you" is pretty much as forward as a person can be. She is basically throwing herself at you.

Now - if she was laughing and had made it established that she wasn't a lesbian earlier i might think she could be joking - but put it all together, top it off with a HUG and a WHISPER in the EAR!

you should go for her. If she was hugging you, and holding your hand and playing with your hair, she definitly wasn't joking when she said the lesbian thing. I got told kinda the same thing once, only it was "I'd dump my boyfriend for you". And we went for it and we dated for a month, but things didn't work out the way I would hhave liked it to. But it was an important relationship for me. Don't let this girl get away, come right out and ask her if she was serious. You have nothing to loose.

You should ask her. The easiest way would be to confront her about it, but I know it's not always that simple. I've gone through delimas like this before, and sometimes I don't know the answer. But, you should ask her.

One thing that you might be careful about... if you come right out and ask her about it she may get weird and act like she didn't really mean it, even if she did. (Since she's had some time to think about it, and it's kind of a cliche topic in those high school years, not everyone is as open as you'd like them to be, unfortunately.) But I would definitely not let her get away!

Elizabeth is in a different grade than me, but we've been sitting together at lunch and walking across the quad together all week. Her friend called this kid a faggot, and I guess Elizabeth saw a hurt look on my face or something and said "She doesn't mean to hurt you." I have no idea how she knows I'm not straight, but somehow she knows. And she called me "her rachel" the other day, lol. Just thought I'd share that.
