I'd certainly have no desire to engage in violent protest activities over George Floyd, which I think are not only wrong but counterproductive. The mindless destruction of small shops and businesses is a blow not only to the proprietors but their customers, and diverts attention from the cause to the more fundamental issue of law and order. The extent of Antifa's involvement in this, if any, has by no means been established. Just cuz Trump says it doesn't make it so. I'm surprised that a so-called "libertarian" would go along with such a patent abuse of presidential power and the First Amendment.

There are lots of sinister groups on both extremes of the political spectrum who have vested interests in using the protests to disrupt the social order--including those on the far right. The police in various cities have made arrests and may soon get to the bottom of who is involved.White supremacy groups are hoping to leverage George Floyd's death into their longed-for 'race war'

Five nights in a row of calm peaceful protests in Boston, and on the sixth night it was as if someone suddenly turned a switch.

The protesters claseh with ploice, tear gas was deployed, and the looting of downtown stores commenced

 

i didn't actually watch the full video until yesterday.. man, one thing i really didn't grasp from all the reports and five second clips was how deliberate it was and how much the guy enjoyed doing it.

Watching the videos, it seems to be that some of the protesters are there just because they are full of anger and want to spread destruction, the initial cause became secondary..These are young people against the system, very determined, what is moving them is beyond the initial facts..I saw a graffiti with the anarchist A in a circle ..
Some of the violent protesters behave really mad.
This is real confusion, but we are living in confusion since the virus appeared, maybe this is a reflection of these times..
