I really don't get those that have issues about wearing a mask. They will wear a seat belt driving there car. They will smoke in the smoking only area's. They will buy insurance for the cars. They will buy a fishing and hunting license to hunt and fish. They will register so they can vote. Wearing a mask is such a small thing to ask for, and it shows you care about your fellow man and woman. Until the experts find something better to help put this virus down, I'll wear a mask, I'll wash my hands, and I'll be respectful to others.
They've been convinced that it's the deep state trying to control us, and they're being patriots by refusing to comply. Or something.
I wear masks but those examples are false equivalences as they are optional. The only one that kinda-sorta is comparable imo would be the seat belt thing but I believe that went through a bunch of legislation to be formalized rather than just being mandated by the state.
and all of it is bullshit. the seatbelts, smokin bans, masks, licenses, permits, insurance, taxes, Gluten Free Pickles but, for some reason, the majority believes in bullshit & believes wholly that we must have it & we have deluded ourselves for so long that anything else is unimaginable
The more old people that die, the more room there is for new immigrants families to come to your country and escape 3rd world war and poverty Hence; wearing a mask is racist
seatbelts save lives in case of a vehicle accident. some of my close family friends are still alive because of them. one freind had stomped the break and hurt their ankle. also lost some childhood buddys to drinking and driving recklessly. rest their souls. smokin bans. that uve got to be 17 years of age to purchase tobacco. makes it so children arent smoking fugs or chewing tobacco in school until senior year or junior for some. also the warning labels that show the ill effects of smoking are REALITY. if you have the slightest empathy you would choose not to give a small child a cigarette or smoke one with style because u feel its cool. masks everyone wears a mask(persona) regardless if they choose to wear a surgical mask or kercheif to prevent the spread of disease. there is a global epidemic going on that this virus comes from bats and must be respected. its alive and might choose to really fuck you up or those you love. the plague is everywhere. permit kermit insurance is part of life just like pennies nickels dimes quarters etc. it isnt inherantly evil hell werent we going to try to sell volcano insurance for shyts n giggle. use ur head. taxes are good on a state level because food stamps and those powerlines that charge ur devices as well as the sidewalks with plants growing in the cracks. pickels are a gift from Gad. ''the majority...'' ''we....'' horse crap minority methinks i for one does not adhear to these fads. nobody knows this that i do believe that ur so-called ''bullshyt'' is more heavy in survival and species harmony. that cattle are beautiful animals and shouldnt be spit on and slandered as a label for anything that doesnt float your boat. cow patties have saved many a lives for thousands of years and will continue to do so. sire, thats akin to labelling a man or woman for that matter a bitch or saying ''lifes a bitch'' just because everything doesnt go totally your way. as the olde sayin' goes ''you can not make nobody do anything'' if you look at a bitch they are beautiful animals and a true blessing. ''a dog is mans bestfreind''
A lot of conservative people don't do these things. Why should they pay the goverment to hunt? God gave them nature. And to this day in rural areas you will find old men who don't wear seat belts. It's been a law since like the 1970's but they hate the idea of the government telling them what to do. The fine is worth it to remain free. It is their choice to be crippled in the accident. You can't fix stupid as the right wing says themselves.
TV news here on Sunday night were talking about a Covid case on an express bus out of Sydney, the person with covid was wearing a mask, they traced every one on the bus, one other passenger who wasn't wearing a mask tested positive So much for wearing a mask is as much about protecting you as it is me
So a person who does not wear a mask is sick? I don't think this proves what you think it does. Can you link your source?
Nachem Gross stood his ground — against possible coronavirus infection. So says the attorney for the 72-year-old Gross, who was with his wife inside an elevator at the 44-story Portofino Tower in South Beach. The condo association had mandated only two persons per ride, to safeguard against the spread of COVID-19, but a fellow resident tried entering the elevator. Gross held up two fingers, trying to explain. The masked man walked in anyway. Gross pushed him. The man stumbled backward. “Miami Beach police is not taking into account the fact that we live in the time of COVID and immunocompromised people, and all people, should be able to protect themselves from anyone invading their space,” said Grieco. “This is a straight-up Stand Your Ground self-defense case.” His attorney, Michael Grieco, called the arrest outrageous because Gross and his wife both have health issues that make them at risk of succumbing to the highly contagious respiratory disease. Under Florida’s controversial Stand Your Ground law, people have no duty to retreat before using force to counter a threat. The article headline is Miami Beach man who claimed COVID-19 self defense wins ... www.miamiherald.com › local › crime › article244635102 I can't get past the paywall I don't think he won his case they only dropped the charges. Anyway these people in the no mask rebellion can do what ever just stay out of my space spewing germs. Why should I have to avoid them ?
I think if Trump had worn a mask from the beginning, we wouldn’t see as much anti-masking. Most of the anti-maskers are his age or around his age, which is kind of strange considering that is the most vulnerable age group.
Here's the entire article for you... Prosecutors have dropped the case against a South Beach man who claimed self-defense against COVID-19 when he pushed another resident out of a condo elevator. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office on Friday declined to file any formal charges against 72-year-old Nachem Gross, who’d been charged with aggravated battery against an elderly person for pushing 86-year-old Gerald Steiglitz at the Portofino Tower on June 22. “I’m just happy to see prosecutors properly apply the law when police refuse to. My client’s arrest was short-sighted and law enforcement needs to think long and hard these days before risking people’s health and stuffing them in jail,” said his defense lawyer, Michael Grieco. Gross and his wife were inside an elevator at the condo building, which had mandated only two people per ride to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus that has killed more than 150,000 people in the United States. Surveillance video shows that Steiglitz tried getting into the elevator, but Gross held up two fingers to signal the ride limit. Steiglitz put his forearm up and tried to walk in, but was met by Gross, who held his forearm up and extended it forward. The man stumbled backward and bruised his thigh on a hallway table, Miami Beach police said. Gross’ defense attorney had insisted that Gross acted in self-defense because he was worried that he and his wife, both of whom have health issues, could be susceptible to catching the coronavirus. “This is a straight-up Stand Your Ground self-defense case,” Grieco told the Miami Herald earlier this month. Florida’s controversial Stand Your Ground law states that a person has no duty to retreat before using force to meet a threat. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, however, wouldn’t say the case was one of self-defense. Instead, in a final memo on the case, prosecutor Joni Caldwell said she could not “prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant intended to cause harm to the victim.” “Upon further review, we have concluded reasonable minds could differ as to the reason for either party’s actions,” Caldwell wrote.
