I don't think anyone really hates their country, basically 1/2 the country will hate whoever is in charge of the government.

 

Some people just don't like the idea of equating freedom and patriotism with falling in line with the government and doing whatever it tells you to do.

 

i dont hate my country, i hate my government...and as a patriot it is not only my right, but my obligation to try and keep my government in check.
and why the hell should i leave? i was born here...my friends and family live here...its my right to be here. id rather stand my ground than be chased away by my own government.

Actually I was just wondering.I've seen a lot of people complain but they don't do anything about it.Doing something about it would actually make a difference but sence most people don't want to I was wondering why not leave ?

 

I'm glad you know about keeping the gov under check.Yes that is being a patriot.Personally I wouldn't leave because I love my goverment.

If you can hate a gov you can love one too.Actually I don't mind be it lies or attempts to control me.My ability to get an education and many other things come as result of the gov that we have .

Its not that i hate the country, just the government. theyre fucking everything up. And things are holding me back, friends, school, family, and a place to live, plus im only 15.

 

I think If they took all the sane, reasonable people in the US and gave them their own island...
and let all the idiots stay where they're at and keep right on doing what they're doing it wouldn't make any noticable difference and it wouldn't have to be a big island.
