Some people find it hard to believe that my father was born in 1887. He was a mature soldier during WW1 and retired during WW2. Due to his age, he was given a nice easy job of defusing unexploded bombs that fell on London and maintaining the electricity supply at the same time.
Well I had no idea there was so much to do in Brighton... and how large it is! I did see Quadrophenia, but to us in the US we had no idea of the locations used...I did like the film though. Anything from the Who is excellent. But glad I am Candy Gal got out and about and had a bit of fun! And Vald as well
I am guessing your reference is to Quadrophenia the film. Yes it is one of tmy favourite films ,however as regards music cultures, I have a foot in both camps. The only thing that spoils the film IMO is the seventies background including vehicles in many of the filming sequences. 70s type Transit Vans and a Royal Mail van are obvious candidates.
No, Candy darlin' - that's not Churchill square - that's the clock tower (for obvious reasons) - Churchill Square is further up the hill and to the left as you look at this photograph.
Some great pictures Candy and glad you had a great time. I think some guys on the Beach Party Thread were hoping for some beach pictures of you. Lol .
