Hey, there's stuff up here in Canada too! My city (Saskatoon Saskatchewan) has a beach - it's called Bareass Beach (yep, nudist), but it's a lil pebbly so bring a few towels/blankets. And the real estate is cheap, it has one of the lowest costs of living in the provinces. Nevermind that it also has the highest violent crime rate per capita in Canada(we wouldn't be a winner if Prince Albert counted as a city in that study though). Temperature ranges from -40C to +40C, hurrah! (it's -32C with the windchill today, I love Saskatchewan)

anywho... as bitter as I am, it's actually a pretty good city, definite low cost of living. I hear Montreal has a pretty low cost of living too, especially considering it's size. No, Saskatoon isn't near an ocean, but we do have a big ole river running through us that makes for nice riverside parks and the occasional beach. There are also a lot of lakes up further north - only good during the middle of summer, but still fun.

um, I think you mean *modifications*, not moderations hon.

I lived in a trailor once in western PA. It wasn't so bad because it was on five acres on a very nice kayaking river. It was a bit dingy, but I spent the majority of my time either at work or outside.

I would never live in a trailor in Kansas nor near the coast though - F that

Dammit, you bunch of non-PC people!

The correct term is 'mobile home'

    .....much more eloquent! :p

....and yes, Kansas and mobile homes is NOT a good mix!

Moderation: 1)freedom from excess, proper restraint, temperance. 2) a moderating o rmoving away from an extreme 3) calmness, lack of violence

don't think it has much to do with changing the decor of a house. Knowing the english language is fun

No. Moderation is different than Modification

Moderation : My post two bloody spots above
Modification : a change, a slight or partial change in form, a change .. that is not inheritable

good lord I hope that was a fake post, that you were just pretending to be that ignorant of basic english words.

Yeah, with most people renting it is that way too, and rent is getting rediculas for most. Of course me, I only pay around 102.00 a month rent because im low income and i always get government subsdidized housing. Yeah i could see for those who like to modify getting a house, but then again im not much of one for changing much except pictures and a few decorations. It just depends on the person. Dont get me wrong I have nothing against other people buying. Whatever you are most happy with Trish, that is what I wish and want for you. Good luck in your search, I do hope you find what you are looking for. Want to go to a truely free place, go to Amsterdam.:sunglasse

renting a place is like flushing hundreds of dollars down the toilet every month. buying is way more worth it. at least you have somethign to show for all those thousands you spent. but sorry, i don't know the east coast very well.

here people don't really have a choice they have to rent. You can't buy a decent condo for under 300k anymore but you can get a very nice apartment or even a small not so nice house for a thousand a month.
