I've read this on cnn a while ago... in December or so, over 5,000 soldiers had left for Canada while on leave from the war. Go them.
wow, really? where are they all? i heard about a couple of guys who were asking for sanctuary here...they were doing speaking engagements across canada. and there's this guy who's asking for sanctuary too.. tre arrow but he's an environmentalist, not a soldier.
good for them, but i dunno if this is comparable to vietnam. i suppose the fleeing to canada thing is. but we aint suffering THAT many casualties. i'm not condoning the war, in fact i fucking hate the war, but vietnam was way worse. i'm glad the soldiers are leaving tho. they're finally learning the atrocities of war, and the lies that get us into it.
ive asked for asylum every year for the past 3 years. still no answer. maybe ill get my job to transfer me.
Robin Williams made a funny joke about the US and Canada saying how Canada is like a loft apartment above a really good party. Which was funny, I laughed. But now all of a sudden, the party is starting to suck. So the nice, comfy, laid-back, relaxing loft apartment is looking miiiiiiighty good. Go Canada!
