WOW People.
I am rather overwhelmed and chuffed about the amount of support and good wishes I have had off all you lovely people here on HIP forums.
Gob smacked even!

So now here in the U.K. at 10.25pm the latest with me is this...

Got up 6.00am.
Taxi/Ambulance came for me at 7.00am
Arrived at hospital 8.45am.
In my own room by 9.15am and this is practically a home from ruddy home!
Photos just took are below.
Lovely sexy nurses have taken COVID-19 swabs and bloods and blood pressure and weight and height.
Lady just been in to take my food order and I am having soup with a roll for starters, cottage pie and chips and veg for dinner and trifle and custard for desert.
All around 12.00pm.
Cant be bad.

So I have my IPads with me which give me Sky TV and Netflix and Amazon Prime and BT Sport and so I can communicate with all you lovely people from far and wide.
Isn’t technology wonderful !

Bye for now, but of course I will be looking at the threads and post when I can.

I had my aortic valve and part of the aorta replaced November 15 2019. Recovery was slow for me but now I feel so much better. Best wishes for a safe and speedy recovery.

One of my nurses has just been in asking questions and doing Ecco Cardiogram and stuff, and ain’t she nice.
The way things are going here I may not want to go home!
I asked her if I could take a picture and she said ‘Of course you can Kenny!

Actually 6 years ago I was rushed to hospital because of a dissecting aorta and failing aorticvalve.
That was an 11 hour operation, and like you recovery was quite slow.
So I do have an idea of what to expect here.

Since that operation I have led life to the full with loads of holidays and walking and dancing and socialising.
My time is always full and I am never bored at all.

This time i am back in hospital because my Mitral Heart Valve is severely regurgitating and will lead to my heart being enlarged and heart failure if left untreated..
There is already some enlargement.

So this operation is future preventory care really.

Looking online for info the surgeon doing my operation is one of the leading heart surgeons in the U.K.
So obviously I am in very good hands.
