1. stop washing your hair 2. rub patchouli oil all over your body 3. learn how to roll a phat joint 4. buy a $100 pair of patchwork pants 5. sell everything you own besides your patchouli and patchiy pants and buy a micro bus and move into it in your parents back yard
Don't ever change or alter to fit a stereotype or label. Just be yourself and live your life. Be an individual.
i think hippy is just a lable. i think there are a lot more hippys than would call themselvs hippys. i mean its just about peace love and happyness, sticking it to the man. lol.just have fun and follow ure heart.
I see being hip as more inexplainable than anything else. Definetly a feeling of peace with the life all around you, including your own. An unmeasurable love and happiness. The hip world is a very real thing, experienced in different ways by different people. And never even found, or perhaps just rejected, by many. Seen by me as kynda like a progressed existence (mynd expansion I guess would sit upon this idea), able of looking and living past the needless and ugly paths that so many seem to declare absolutelt unavoidable. sad Life is simply a choice of paths. See it through an opened eye. Long ago, I started making sense of my life and what it is for me and what I can make of it. Once I found myself here, I worried less, loved more and found a whole new world of endless beauty waiting on the other side of the gate. Liberating my mynd & soul, ridding the superficial clutter is such a cool experience that left me floating about my own space or roses. DO give peace and love a chance, you'll see. Let go !!! peace & FREEDOM
leave bad attitudes down the road, love your brothers and sisters, spread posistuve words, and the rest is up to you. thers no guidlines that ive heard about.haha
yea... it was wierd... people would be like you're such a hippie... and i'd be like what do you mean... becuase i never labeled myself a hippie.... and they'd be like how you talk and the music you listen to and the things you do.... and i was like umm... ok.... but clothing doesnt make someone a hippie.... its how you think... peaceful thoughts... laid back... love for your fellow man/woman..... there is no rules to being a hippie... if there was then hippies would have never been around in the first place.... hippies were people who didnt wanna follow the rules of a highly conservative america....
Being hip is about LOVE...that's all. Love for ourselves and love for each other. Accepting others without exception. I really admire you young people that find that out on your own.

To me, hippydom is about being who U are- not feeling like you have to be anything else for anyone else. You don't have to conform to society and it's antics about what to do and how to do it....It's about respecting the environmnet and preserving it for generations to come.Being a hippie you are anti-establishment and break away form all the rules to set your own rules and Go your own way. It is feeling free -being natural and letting yourself dig deeper than any commercialism or materialism can ever offer. It's a soul journey and a higher elevation to be how you desire to be in the realm of peace, love and higher conciousness.
