Kevin McCarthy is visiting Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday to make up with him after Trump reportedly called him a pussy for partially blaming him for the Capitol riots, like a coy abused spouse returning to the abuser for more punishment.

This could become a routine occurrence for the Republican party with various Republicans visiting Mar-a-Lago regularly as if it was the White House to receive their instructions from Trump.

Embarrassed US Capitol 'rioter' trips and shows off ankle tag as she flees court

    excerpt:

"A suspected US Capitol rioter tripped and showed off her ankle tag as she fled a court hearing and questions from journalists. Rachael Lynn Pert, 40, covered her face with a stack of papers and ignored reporters as she exited a hearing in Jacksonville, Florida on Thursday.

Shortly afterwards, she fell, and was filmed hobbling down the street after in her bare feet, while carrying her shoes. A black ankle tag Pert was ordered to wear was visible as she walked away.

Her pal Dana Joe Wynn, 45, was also silent on exiting Tuesday’s hearing, which saw the pair charged with unlawful entry to the US Capitol, as well as violent entry and disorderly conduct at the seat of the federal government."

Beaten, sprayed with mace and hit with stun guns: police describe injuries to dozens of officers during assault on U.S. Capitol

    excerpt:

"D.C. police said Monday that one District officer remained hospitalized. They described many of the injuries as sprains and bruised arms and legs, but many others appear far more serious and caused by repeated blows from sticks, poles and clubs and laser pointers shined into officers’ eyes.

The Capitol Police, which had 1,400 officers at the building, also have members who suffered injuries. A number was not available, but Eva M. Malecki, a spokeswoman for the agency, said injuries ranged from concussions to scrapes and bruises. She said no Capitol Police officers remain hospitalized.

In a statement the day after the riot, then-Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund, who resigned Friday, said officers were attacked with metal pipes, chemical irritants and other types of weapons. Several Capitol Police officers were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Three people among the demonstrators died during what police have described as “medical emergencies.” Authorities said a Capitol Police officer, Brian D. Sicknick, died of injuries sustained in the assault. Another Capitol Police officer who had been at the Capitol during the riot took his own life Saturday.

Greggory Pemberton, head of the D.C. police union, called the riot “a nightmare.” He said one officer suffered an apparent heart attack after he was hit six times with a stun gun, and another lost the tip of his right index finger, possibly when it was crushed.

He said many rioters came prepared, with enhanced versions of munitions carried by police. Bear spray, for example, is a highly concentrated version of OC spray, also referred to as tear gas, that is stronger than the version police use to tame violent demonstrations.

“It has a really nasty effect,” Pemberton said, noting it can burn lungs. He said that although all but one injured D.C. officer are out of the hospital, many face an extended recovery period."

She's already fallen head first into the biggest pile of crap on the planet, and showering will never remove the stench. Wait until Donald Duck's story becomes Hollywood comedy in the grand tradition of PT Barnum.

Rep. Jimmy Gomez drafts resolution to oust Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress

The California Democrat announced on Wednesday that he planned to introduce a resolution to oust the conspiracy-theory-peddling Republican from Georgia after recent news reports revealed that Greene had previously called for violence against Democrats on social media.

A two-thirds majority is required to expel a member from the House, meaning Gomez’s resolution is almost certain to fail in a chamber where Democrats hold a razor-thin majority. Still, the measure is one of the starkest rebukes yet against the congresswoman, who has antagonized her peers by flouting coronavirus guidelines and has garnered national attention for engaging in the QAnon conspiracy theory. She has also denied the Parkland school shooting, and was filmed spreading racist, Islamophobic and anti-Semitic comments, prompting condemnation from the leadership of her own party.

CNN on Tuesday unveiled a series of Greene’s past social media posts from as recently as 2019 that called for executing Democrats and federal law enforcement officers. In one comment, she said that “a bullet to the head would be quicker” to get rid of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Trump and his followers who had been addicted to their own self-fed lies eventually went frantic when they couldn't maintain their disinformation crack addiction.

Their warped belief that Pence turned on them was the last straw that triggered the Capitol riot.

Just as demented was a group of Trump's rioters on the Senate floor who mistakenly thought Sen. Cruz sold out on them when in fact he was objecting to Biden's win.

    It's delusional thinking beyond repair.

It ended in the most abrupt and violent way for Ashli Babbitt whose frantic behavior at the Capitol, and as seen in videos in previous years, looked like she was having a crack attack.

Ousted Fox News editor: Reaction to Trump's loss a result of 'informational malnourishment'

    excerpt:

"A former political editor for Fox News who was fired last week said the public reaction to former President Trump’s election loss is a result of “informational malnourishment.”

Chris Stirewalt, who had defended Fox News’s relatively early call that President Biden won Arizona, which proved to be accurate but infuriated Trump and his supporters, wrote in a Los Angeles Times op-ed published Thursday that the outrage over that call and Biden’s overall victory arose out of “a nation of news consumers both overfed and malnourished.”

“Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies,” he wrote. “Can anyone really be surprised that the problem has gotten worse in the last few years?”"

Ousted Fox News editor: Reaction to Trump's loss a result of 'informational malnourishment'

    excerpt:

"Stirewalt, who had worked as an election forecaster on Fox News's decision desk, said he was “proud of our being first to project” Biden would win Arizona on Nov. 3.

The former editor attributed the resentful reaction partly to “a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying.” But he also assigned blame to the never-ending news cycle, which he said prioritizes “indulging a consumer’s worst cravings” for their views to be confirmed — a form of "informational malnourishment."

“Whatever the platform, the competitive advantage belongs to those who can best habituate consumers, which in the stunted, data-obsessed thinking of our time, means avoiding at almost any cost impinging on the reality so painstakingly built around them,” Stirewalt said. “As outlets have increasingly prioritized habituation over information, consumers have unsurprisingly become ever more sensitive to any interruption of their daily diet.”"

Trump started a false-reality mindset during the 2020 campaign when he saw the polls showing him losing to Biden (he publicly claimed the polls were fake but privately acknowledged them enough to know he was losing). He started talking about alleged upcoming election fraud months before the 2020 election.

Trump declared himself the winner on election night before the votes were completely counted in the urban areas that voted heavily for Biden so that he could later claim the election was stolen from him, citing statistical impossibilities.

After the election, he embarked on an endless barrage of lies about election fraud for two months. It included pressure campaigns on governors and secretaries of state and possibly a scheme to have the DOJ help overturn the election (which may be why Barr resigned before Christmas). It finally ended with a riot at the Capitol after Trump's 'Save America' rally near the White House.

The press briefing when Trump was sitting at his little desk in the diplomacy room was symbolic of his delusional mindset. A reporter repeatedly asked him if he was finally going to concede to Biden after the recounts. Trump wouldn't say he would and became upset with the reporter. He yelled at him, "Don't ever talk to the president that way!"

The reporter was correct about his perception that Trump might never concede. Trump finally said it himself at the January 6 rally just before the riot started when he proudly proclaimed, "We will never concede!"
