I was looking in stores for a guitar strap and found the prices to be waaaay too high for something that simple. Besides, no deigns in the stores were cool enough. So I made my own, from an old belt and some straps from a backpack. Here's what it looks like: Most of it is made of the leather belt part, on both edges there are sections of strap. I also used the plastic bits from the backpack to make it adjustable. Yay for recycling :sunglasse
Aww, that's awesome. I'm currently in the process of making a hemp guitar strap, but it's kind of failing now. That's a really good idea.. love the buttons
Yeah, I couldn't find any good hippie buttons, so I'm using ones from my collection of old Soviet badges, like the mascot of the 80's olympics
Sweet.. . Check ebay for cheap hippie buttons... They have lots... I got one of ebay that says "Draft Beer Not People" I paid like 50 cents for it...
Acoustic guitars have a little knob at one side, which makes attaching really easy. I cut a circle of leather and cut a hole in it, then attached it to the strap. On the other side, I have a loop made of the black strap I got from the backpack, and I just tie it around the neck of the guitar. About those ebay buttons: do they charge shipping?
I am gonna make one just like that. I have a couple of buttons, like the march on Washington. i also have this one that has this thing called "Woodstock" on it, and it has peace and music under it. my aunt says it was a small musical gathering she went to. it had a couple small time bands in it, no biggie.
