been arrested at a rainbow gathering?

Have you ever been arrested or had troubles with police at a rainbow gathering??

yes I've had troubles, I got harrashed at Ocala for having my kids in the woods. They tried to tell me it was unfair and I need to take them to a house where they can be happy. Everyone got a fine that day. They were just looking for ways to rattle us. Outside of gatherings I've had trouble too(like being hassled), I guess because I was a hippy in their town and they were'nt liking that a gathering was going on... I don't know.

 

What is a rainbow family gathering? what is the rainbow family?

 

When we were on our way up the mountain at the National in Colorado, there was a road block, stopping everybody, asking where they were going? ummmm, obviously they knew where we were going, there were thousands of people at that gathering..

Anyway, 90% of the vehicles they were actually searching and really shaking people down all had TX plates, including ours...I heard at the time that CO and TX had a deal worked out with extradition (if you had a warrant in TX, but they caught you in CO, you would do the time there, and vice versa)

The good news is, that we did get up the mountain and had a beautiful, enlightening experience at (what Ive heard) was the biggest National..not that size matters (!) My first gathering was tiny, in the Alleghany in 1989-90 (?) and beautiful too.

I thinking about going this july in my house. I am kind of freaked out by the cops. If you let them scare you you into not going , they have won. So on that note all. If it is the cops you are woried about, fuck emmm!!!! I won't have a dam thing on me! I am scared of them but some times you just have to do things that you are scared of.

no, I got a "warning" for supposibly neglecting my childern's needs(they told me it was horrible to let my kids live in the woods). Which is crap because my childern are well cared for, clean, fed, and always have clean clothing. They are my main priority and if a situation was bad for them I would not keep them in it no matter how disapointed I'd be for missing out. My kids actually prefer gatherings to house living. They get along better, have what seems to be more fun and alot of love and interaction from my friends and other childern. My boyfriend got fined for not dropping his money in the box that yet that day(hell, I'll admit, he missed a couple days). My friend(will not mention name because I didn't ask if that'd be ok, we'll call her "X", lol) the same and when we offered to pay them that moment they still fined them but wouldn't allow my boyfriend to pay for "X". So, "X" with no gas had to find a way to get out of there... bad situation.

 

Yes that was a shitty day=/

 

does anyone here know exodus from Ocala gathering? she had to stay in daytona because her kid got taken away and she had to get a place and a stable job in order to get her back, i havn't heard any updates and i'd really like to know whats going on with her

 

Im so sorry to hear about that,,, I dont know of her, but I wish her quick recovery from that terrible system that is supposed to help families, but often destroys them....
