I see Ducky trump has started campaigning early - someone asked 'why has anyone taken a pot shot at him yet?' - answer - all the pot shotters on on his side!
The Dragon and the Tiger has co-existed for milleniums peacefully. Zen is considered as the offspring of both Buddhism and Taoism. Yes, democractic India and dictatorial China has their political differences at present, but I think it is for the best, and both countries will learn from each other in a positive and fruitful manner.
India may claim to be democratic but it's care of women in general is appauling compared to china - { both countries will learn from each other in a positive and fruitful manner.] I very much doubt it - I have lived in china amongst the peasants and academics and China considers itself the middle kingdom - lord of all and doesn't need to learn anything from anyone else - it is about to become the biggest world leader above usa and it hasn't learned that from anyone - and like all large nations it will eventually fail as did Rome and Persia and the Ottomans etc etc - if history is not remembered well we cannot progress well! India is a small player in the game it cannot compete with china
China thinks small and builds big - under those circumstances it occasionally topples over - take HK - it promised 2 systems 1 country until 2047 - clearly China was not prepared to tolerate this and developed concoctions to step in a take control by using pro- CCP HK govt lackies headed by Carrie Lam - the ensuing dramas and damage was caused and instigated by China - unfortunately the youth of HK over-reacted [ perhaps anticipated by CCP] and the ensuing disasters occurred. HK has been a pearl in the china sea and mainline china has benefitted from this arrangement over the years. However is 'think small and build big' mentality has brought down this 'pearl' and caused a social disaster. This is an example imo of the big chinese panda bear always being too greedy and wanting all the bamboo shoots. It also wants to take back Taiwan and the entire South China seaways. beware the chinese dragon !!
India is the largest democracy on earth. Here are the sexual assault statistics of Australia and India per 100000 population in 2010. Australia - 28.6 per 100000 India - 1.8 per 100000 Similar statistics reports with respect to China is lacking probably due to the non-transparent nature of the Chinese government. India has a 1.35 billion population, which is roughly the population of the whole world at the start of the twentieth century. In such a very huge population , the very large number of crime issues will also project a wrong picture and appear disproportionate. India has had its own female prime minister Indira Gandhi and female president Smita Patil. Margaret Thatcher was herself inspired by Indira Gandhi to become Britain's first female prime minister. What Indira Gandhi and Margaret Thatcher shared You are saying this because you come from a recent century old nation with no appreciation or understanding of the dynamics present amongst ancient civilizations. ' India Conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border. ' ~ Hu Shih ( Chinese diplomat, ambassador, essayist and nominee for 1939 Nobel prize in literature ) Indian films are very popular in China at present. There are many pro-democracy supporters in China as the protest rallies in Hong Kong and the 1989 Tiananmen protests show. Liu Xiaobo, a pro-democracy activist won the 2010 Nobel prize for his nonviolent activism. In an essay published in 2000, Liu Xiaobo compared Gandhi to a "single martyr [who] can fundamentally turn the spirit of a nation and strengthen its moral fibre". I think it is quite possible that China will be a democracy in the future as its middle class rises in education and better exposure to the outside world. China is doing an excellent job of learning from other nations in terms of science and technology and that is why it has become a potent industrial and economic superpower. I agree with you that if nation's keep to themselves through false arrogance and refuse to learn from other nations, they are bound to regress due to the dynamic nature of civilization and culture. Well, at least India and China has succeeded in creating a covid vaccine where Australia has ended as a stark failure. Covid: Australian vaccine abandoned over false HIV response Australia Scraps Covid-19 Vaccine That Produced H.I.V. False Positives India succeeded in creating a vaccine with over 81% efficacy which is proven to be resistant to the UK super-spreader virus. This is because it had invested a lot in its research infrastructure and medical personnel with respect to vaccines and combatting diseases like smallpox and polio in the sixties which gained it a lot of valuable operational experience. This expertise was steadily developed in the following years. India at present is comparable to China in terms of military strength. It has the largest army on earth, which is also a battle-hardened one due to its 5 wars and other conflicts. It is the fourth largest contributor to UN peacekeeping operations (6319) and have suffered the highest casualties (163) in the line of duty as UN peacekeepers, for maintaining peace in different strife-torn countries of the world. It's navy which is the sixth most powerful on earth complete with aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines and the world's most potent anti-ship cruise missile in Brahmos, can interrupt chinese shipping on the Malacca straits through which the vast majority of Chinese oil imports arrive crucial to its economy. The Importance of the Straits of Malacca This is one of the reasons why the Indian navy is conducting exercise drills regularly with the potent Japanese and American Navies in the Indian ocean each year.
many documentaries have demonstrated that sexual assaults are common in India and tolerated by some of the more illiterate male populations and often police forces - statistic gathering in India cannot be relied upon . It has a male chauvinistic track record. the rest of your ramble in this area is unrelated to the specific topic I'll be back I have to go and cook an evening meal - Indian curry!
If India had a male chauvinistic record, we would not have had a female president and prime minister before Australia itself. There is a transparent media which accounts for all issues as much possible in this huge population.

incorrect crime stats are as often as possible compared as apples to apples or oranges to oranges - crime is crime ; rape is rape - Rape Statistics by Country 2021 India has a notorious record for poor collecting of data particularly rape of women - there have been many many news items and current affairs programs - it has been exposed to the world stop trying to unjustly defend India - face the facts : A Closer Look at Statistics on Sexual Violence in India
let me correct the record a little: I think I love India and it's culture more than I do China and I lived in China but not India - I love Indian food and people - India is striving to improve but the recent protests by poor country farmers tells another picture and the unreported rape crimes also ; as well as appalling factory conditions in the cities - you are attempting to "white wash" your India and it is not necessary or advantageous - the rest of the world via many medias can view the truth about all countries including India. We can all fling statistics at websites for sure - let's just stick to good old fashioned honest truth. I'm not interested in movie stars unless they make stands for social justice too. Showing these stars don't prove anything
Even your own statistics for 2021 report around the same... India 1.80 per 100000 population Australia 28.60 per 100000 population Much of these news items and programs have been created by Indian journalists themselves to bring accountability. I would say that even rape rate of 1.8 per 100000 is still too much, because Indian culture has emphasized celibacy in yoga and martial arts from ancient times for greater spiritual, intellectual and physical strength. The government has brought greater regulation in this regard, and has banned western pornographic cinemas once common and popular in regional theatres as well as brought about greater regulation in alcoholism and foreign alcohol imports. I appreciate your concern for Indian women and would ask you to focus attention on women's rights in Australia too... How dangerous is Australia for women?
India’s abuse of women is the biggest human rights violation on Earth | Deepa Narayan 1 in 3 women in India is likely to have been subjected to intimate partner violence | BMJ Poor Indian women ‘learn to ignore’ sex abuse at work: Watchdog Women’s rights in India – The Diplomat I can provide hundreds more if you like? first remove the splint from your own eye? and why not come out of the shadows and become a member -something to hide perhaps?
You keep on highlighting abuse statistics in India projected by Indian journalists while ignoring those in Australia which still has a gory violence record inspite of having a miniscule population and a high GDP per capita. A major cause of these issues in India is the Indian government's lax regulations and naive approach with respect to the pornographic industry and liquor industry. I have explained how these have been subjected to heavy regulation in recent years due to protests and abuse issues. Those states and regions where there has been liquor prohibition has shown vast improvement with respect to women's safety, and I am hoping that this will be implemented all over India as liquor as an intoxicant in prohibited in the major religions here. In my own childhood the first and only pornographic books and videos I have seen were western. It was supposed to be adults only and banned , but they were seen and read by 12 year old children even then. In retrospect, I really wish I never had access to those books or videos, because the sadistic content within truly dehumanised women and children and was gross and disgusting. Western pornographic videos, books and magazines were somehow dumped in large quantities in India. This spawned a copycat porno industry in India which was however more laughable than sensual. But all this had the effect of corrupting the local culture which emphasized spiritual bliss over sensual pleasures. Cigarettes and foreign alcohol introduced in India by western companies using heavy advertising campaigns also played havoc with the local health systems. I think in this regard, India should have emulated its Islamic neighbors who had prohibited alcohol as unhealthy. Alcohol may perhaps be alright in the west which has a cold climate, but I don't think it is appropriate for a hot country like India unused to such hard intoxicants. Mahatma Gandhi had also advocated liquor prohibition totally, but the government loves to quote and hail Gandhi but is lethargic in implementing his vision. Poor administrative policies and measures by the Indian government had played a role in evolving such issues in India, but thankfully the protests and Indian journalists themselves have taken the government to task and brought about stringent rules and regulations in this regard.
You have stated that India's vaccine distribution to other countries is a photo-op session to look good even though India itself had lost158762 citizens to the virus, and nearly 3 million have died all over the world. I obviously found the above statement to be pretty superficial and shallow. India has the prestige of an ancient civilization going for it and the covid vaccine distribution to other countries who can't afford it, is just an another feather in its cap. Australia on the other hand, is mocked by the world as a former prison colony populated by descendants of convicts who had wiped out a majority of the native culture and inhabitants. Rifts between the natives and settlers continue as societal unrest even today shown in newspaper articles . The present covid crisis was an opportunity for the Aussies to provide a vaccine which could have been a great image-builder for the nation on the global scenario, and would have helped to evaporate the constant taunts about its history. Unfortunately, the Aussie vaccine project ended in a failure after projecting false hiv positive reports. Mocking India for its vaccine distribution aid to other countries thus is disgraceful and reminds one of the fable of the fox and sour grapes. Instead of deriding India superficially for its humanitarian gesture, you ought to be contemplating and scrutinizing why the Aussie vaccine project ended up in a major failure to take off, and what steps could be taken to prevent a similar failure in the future.
we are providing PNG with stocks of covid vaccines as a good neighborly act in the pacific region - no doubt it will need to extend to other pacific region smaller countries - what is India doing about supporting its farmer populations - this seems to have gone of the boil? - you can't just pay for rockets to go to the moon you know whilst the farmers starve? Australia March 4 Justice: Thousands march against sexual assault I knew that something was smoking in Australia, but I did not know that it was this big.
