I scraped my foot two days ago and it hurts to wear shoes, cutting firewood today.

I hope you feel better soon and can enjoy barefooting again. I also use alcohol to clean and super glue to seal some occasional cuts and cracks in my soles, that has always worked fine for me.

Thanks everyone for your input! I'm doing much better, and asked hubby to take a leaf blower to clean the acorns away from our driveway, sidewalk in front of our house, and the lawn periphery. lol I wish we had thought of that sooner, because it helps to walk barefoot outside, now.

Well, here’s an update. Walking around in my yard barefoot recently and got bit by a bug on the bottom of my foot. It still hurts and itches but is healing. I’m surprised how long it’s lingered. :(

Bugs, when they bite, usually inject some sort of mild poison that causes that. Very annoying indeed. The month of June would be the best time for barefoot hikes on forest trails, if it weren't for the barrage of attacks from those little bastards.

Have you tried applying mud on the bite? Supposedly it helps...
