Short Stories, Poetry, Reviews, Articles, Art: Want Them Published?

If anyone has any short stories, poetry, articles or art that they want published then please send them to me. If they're good, which I'm sure they will be, I can get them up on Socialist Unity ( www.socialistunitynetwork.co.uk ), which has several thousand regular readers. Interested? PM me, or speak to me on MSN if you have anything to send.

Articles - generally from a left-wing perspective on any political issue or movement, pretty open really, about 800 words or more.

Anything else - can by anything really. Political is better, but they don't have to be. Reviews would be especially good, as we don't have many of them, maybe on a recent gig you went to, or a new album you like, try to think about them in the wider cultural context.

Jaz, Fleassy, Sar, Kev and myself have already got stuff up there, plus there's an interview with Giles and Kev on there too. I want to involve as many of you as possible, as well as others in the wider left movement - it doesn't have to be socialist, in fact my aims are to build links between socialists and people in the wider left, so get writing, and smash up the system!

I'm confused, do you mean art and writing that is just like...about random things, or does it have to be politically-based?

 

Political is best, but if it's really good, I'll take non-political stuff

in cambridge uk...well actually ive got the branch started here
again after years of non activity........
meeting every 2 weeks
olts of socialists activity..around the world.
eg the anti war march started by the socialists and the anti war
movement over 2 years ago....
protests about our governments
and it the summit of the g8 in summer
we have to attend that.in scotland...

the socialists where formally known as the militants
who started the poll tax protests and the anti
BNP party march. early years of the 1990s...

Hi Saffron, yeah I know quite a bit about the Socialists. Socialist Unity Network is involved in the Socialist Green Unity Coalition with your party too. I also live in Cambridge by the way, would be cool to meet up sometime. Have been helping out with the Respect campaign there. I'm not a member of the SWP, but since Respect is the only left wing challenge (unless you count the Greens) in Cambridge, they've got my support, and there's no point me being sectarian about it just because I don't agree with them to the letter. Also spoke at a recent Unite Against Fascism rally in Cambridge, don't know if you were there.

yes i know respect are standing here
at the pensions meeting a few months
ago with dave prentis unsion man
the respect lot were there also.
quite a crap meeting more figures
than replies ..about{ not giving money
from unions to labour and forming a new workers
party..}.......but it will change...


i have just add an afternoon
at anglia university ....tuesday gone...
we sold papers handed leaflets outside
just waiting to hear from the students union
in the university ,about what activty
we can do inside the college...
hopefully get a student socialists group
going for our speakers
to attend the meetings....and see what campains
we can help with as a party involvment..

and anglia uni on tuesdays....
