Everymama needs a sling! I don't know how people function without one. You can cook, clean, shop, do laundry, everything, with baby in the sling, happy as a clam.

A SLING! Oh good lord, get her a sling! Most people never think to get one, and I remember when I was dealing with Gracie, I actually made my own sling out of a bedsheet so that I could do chores without sacrificing an arm!

A sling! Or, as others have said, offer to do her laundry, her dishes and clean up her kitchen for her.

When I had my babies, my sister came over and put in the laundry and did my dishes. I did the same for her, and also gave her baby his bath (she had a fourth degree tear, and couldn't stand or even sit) and she was afraid she would drop him.

Also get her a copy of The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by La Leche League and The Baby Book by William and Martha Sears. She can read them while she is pregnant. They are the books I get my friends when they get pregnant.

Thanks for all the responses I was leaning towards a sling but there are so many different kinds does any one have any favorties.
