    and mug

    I would apreciate information, thanks

    Different types of clays

    Variables:

    • Heat resistance

    • Strength

    • Ease of construction

Possible to use different layers? External shell of heat resistance on outside, smoothness and accuracy of bowl shape in inside, and an internal core of high strength material

    Different types of metal

    Variables:

    • Keeps shape with heat and can be put in the oven

    • Heats up the best on induction cooking

    • Cleans and is non corrosive

    • Relatively cheap and easy to craft

Would the metal plate have to be heated in the oven? Would this affect the construction process?

the metal is part ofthe design and makes the base of the crockery

any alternateive materials like types of plastics or glass or high insulation, easily crafted materials

If you are considering designing your cookware to be used on induction surfaces then it has to be magnetic. If you want it to be made of a ceramic material I would consider magnetic ceramics. These are ceramics that have magnetic properties.

Does it have to be heatable on an induction cooker? If so then your pretty much limited to metal and some very exotic compounds that i doubt anyone has ever made cookware out of. I guess you could put metal inside a clay pot, Im not sure what the magnetic permeability of clay is. If your happy with metal then i suppose copper with stainless stell on either side would scrub up pretty well. Or indeed a copper base with stainless steel sides, that way it would work well on both induction and traditional, as copper conducts heat very well.
