I don't know. I just hang out with people who, I guess you could call "urban hippies" b/c most...... definatly not ALL...... are very real, artsy, into music, so on and so forth. I guess I just hang out with artsy people who are not afraid to be REAL. Don't you think we should focus on being REAL rather than being a "hippy"?? Just a thought. I don't like labels so that's just me.
I just read this in another thread... people claim that they are "real", while conforming to so many stereotypes, and then bash other stereotypical groups because they aren't real. How hippie of them.
I used to consider myself a little bit of a hippie. But not anymore. Theres too many things about them I cant stand, although theres things about them that i love.
Meaning you are into music, art and hanging around doesn't straight mean you are a hippy, anyhow that's what i think. I believe for example that the way of understanding life and know where it is all about makes you a true hippy The fact that you don't like labels while saying you are a sort of urbanhippy is a little vague
when someone calls me a dirty hippie i love it cause they more or less dont know how i truely live im on the road living in the forest helping and loving mother nature meeting beautiful people and seeing beautiful places i am one with myself and the earth and i would never want any other lifstyle its not a label its a mental state of mind and well-being so to me im a hippie and forever youngthe best and onlylifestylei could imagine
amen brother. you know whats up. come to ojai and smoke some nuggets with the pahmily out here. were having a jam band festival on the 19th of march. check it out! you got enuff time to make it out here! peace out, much love and respect
thank-you and i wrote the same thing for the other thread what ever it was rules for being a hippy ect. hey pm me and let me know more about your fest on the 19th and every word i write is the truth im in the forest in a tent right now got to be true to be a "hippie"
if hippies were dead this site prolly wouldn't exist lol. being a hippie isn't about what music you listen to or how you dress and stuff like that. it's about spreading peace, respecting nature and loving everyone you can!
shotguns are always best against zombies, what can they do when their face is blasted into the back of their head?
Anything term you use to refer to a person is a label unless it's their given name. Next thing ya know, we're gonna have a bunch of "realies" runnin' around, heh
trying to class people as "urban-hippies" followed by "Don't you think we should focus on being REAL rather than being a "hippy"?? Just a thought. I don't like labels so that's just me." you do realise you labelled people then said you don't like to label? but i know what you mean - the artsy people can seem very hippyish at times. they're open-minded and real, and that's one of the main things i think of when i think of hippies
