    Wow, yeah, I'm in Toronto and my friend from the states came up one weekend and she was psyched becase she thought pot was legal here...LOL....Nope. Yeah, it's just decriminalized or whathave you.

    I wouldnt get too exited over it being legallized here, cuz it wont happen for a long time.Not as long as we let the US push us around, Not to mention the pressure from the tobacco companies.


    And on top of that if it did become legalized everyone would see that "its actually not so bad" so people would start considering it as a more valid way of making fuel and paper products, but NO all the fuel and pulp corporations who have friends in the government dont want that.

    Its not about health,the effects on the body, bad image or any shit like that, its about the biggest problem in the world $$$$$$$$Greed$$$$$$$$$.

    I think the liberal party is considering taking it up during the next parlament, slightly doubtful it would pass, but perhaps it would them a beacon for the US and many other countries riding the selfrighteous wave of prohibition, though more likely a target for immense political preasure.

    the mayor of vancouver, Larry Cambell has even been quoted on occasions as saying "I think the legalization of pot, would be a terrific movment for the enconomy of BC"

    i love vancouver :)

    lol well yea it would be bc's cash crop...lol.... in is head hes saying ya lets grow it then we can tax the shit out of it....lol really. dose anyone remember when cigs where 5 dollers a pack. then the canadian gov said..wait we can make more money....and now in alberta ther 11 bucks.... hehe.. ii think there would be some down sides to it being legal too

    so, is it still a criminal offense in bc? i dont smoke so i dont keep up on what the laws are right now~the laws seem to keep changing!!. i might need to open up my home to a kid i know who does smoke, so i need to know what the current laws are so that i know what kind of ground rules to set.

    as far as i know its the same in bc as it is in alb....1/2 and oz or less gets u a 100 doller fine.... anything more is possetion. anythign 15g or less its like a speeding tickit

    any time.lol im learing lots about it today.. i started my practicum in univ today. im working at a young offenders center.. hehe...scary
