i don't have any pedals. i've played on my friends' mulit-fx units and liked jamming on wahs and have played some delay pedals. yeah it's fun and all, but i got something i think beats all for cool factor and a unique sound! you know when you talk into a fan, and it makes that sweet distortion of your voice? well, i played my little practice amp into an approx. 2 ft. diameter fan running on 'high', and it sounded SO SWEET. i can't describe it. sorta chorusy but different. anyone else done this? i'd love to try it with my half stack and an industrial fan or one of those monsters they have at athletic events! it sounds good clean and distorted. sorta sharpens the note and makes chords messy, but i love it.
    end rant.

Nice cheap effect.... check out the Hiel Talkbox or a Framptone. (Peter Frampton's own brand)... of course, the Danelectro Freespeech is okay too, but I don't like Danelectro's effects, much.

No... peter frampton invented his version of it and started his own effects company. Even Prince uses it now.

I tested the fan effect on my twin and it doesn't sound so great... though, I'll try it cranked tomorrow, but 130 watts of les paul can deafen me in this small room, so I'll try it in the living room... it makes for a really cool distorted effect... slightly chorused. Kinda like a leslie...

yes yes i have tried it! and its great. though i have a rather good multi-fx processor, i love to make effects of my own on low budgets. this way i can give other people ideas, and come up with truly original things

yeah... they're the best you can buy... and I also like the new digital wahs out there by boss, but for the money, you can't beat the capacitor on a clyde mccoy...

I have a Digitech RP 100 and it has a wide variety of sounds...though I don't use it that much just because I like the warmth and tone of my Marshall AVT 20...even though it doesn't provide the ball crunching distortion that I want right now...its genuine...plus its easier that way when I'm playin with my Jimi Hendrix sig wah pedal.

Heh, I can get pure jimi by taking a $70.00 dunlop (new) or finding one on ebay for around $20 and switching out the mexican capacitor for an italian. :D
