Ive had my number for a good 3.5 years now, and I still get calls for the same woman........ I think its a collecting agency looking for her, or something, but still, 3 years after the fact?? damn.
When I first got my cell phone these people kept calling for Jessica. Like they would leave messages on my voicemail that would say hi this is Emily please leave a message. Eventually they stopped calling but sometimes people still call.
We have lived in the same place for 10 years now, and for about the first five to six years, we always got calls for Mr. or Mrs. Roach
Apparently, the people who had my number before I did was in debt to SEVERAL different companies including a medical office, power company, a department store, and then whomever else decided to go through collection agencies. And then ya gotta try to convince the collectors that the person they're trying to reach does not have that number anymore. Of course, they don't believe you, so the calling never stops.
people always call the phone in my room asking for mary. and ill be like no one named mary fucking lives here stop calling. one guy kept asking over and over and i hung up on him so he called back asking to tlak to mary. it was so long to get it through his fucking head that he had the wrong number.
I had that once... they asked for all kinds of different names too so I don't know what place had it first. But I only lived there for 6 months myself before I moved so it wasn't that big a deal. Most annoying was a brief while when we'd sometimes get calls from a fax machine... you'd pick up the phone and get an ear-splitting beep... and once or twice people had their fax set to automatically re-dial so it went on for half an hour before they figured they had the wrong number. Happened a few times in quick succession and then it was gone -maybe someone had a new fax number that closely matched ours and gave out the wrong number to just a few customers/friends?
haha my friend, some old woman calls his cell phone at like the same time everyday and asks for her son, and everday he tells her it's the wrong number, he thinks she has a memory problem or something....
Yeah, that happens to us sometimes, too. Our phone number is one digit off from the phone number of an elementary school in town so a lot of the time we'll get calls from disgruntled parents. When we first moved to this town we'd always get calls for a "Mr. Hendrix"... It was strange.
