We have one lady in our Saturday crowd that wont have it . She is a smoker as well .So stubborn .

Delta is a killer for unvaccinated people and it will find them .

Yeah these people don't believe in science or facts, much less common sense. Worldwide over 200 million people have gotten covid and over 4 million have died. In the U.S. 37 million have gotten it and over 634,000 have died. But I bet they don't believe those numbers.

 

I don't know about that Delta being a killer - it seems like highly contagious weak sauce. It takes your sense of taste and can give you pneumonia if treatment is delayed by all the false negatives you get but that's about it. All that means is I can eat more Brussels sprouts and I am not tempted by sweets. I can still taste hot sauce though, both habanera and (of course) Carolina reaper. Haven't tried anything too sour yet - I'll have to find something. But a sweet cookie tastes like nothing at all. Of course, you have to find a doctor who is going to prescribe the right meds - and a pharmacy that will let you have the right meds. I imagine that's why certain populations are suffering more than others. And you should get an oximeter to make sure your oxygen is 94 or above. That's just for middle aged and older folks - kids shrug it off in a day. And it goes through the much-vaunted vaccine like it doesn't even exist. So if you think you are vaccinated and safe - think again. It's coming.

Since early July, 18-24 year old's make up the highest rate of new cases in North Carolina, followed by 25-49 year old's. After them, are children younger than 18 years old. More than 94% of recent cases statewide occur in people who are not vaccinated. Florida's suffered over 40,000 deaths.

Spreading fact-free ignorant bullshit like yours is actually killing people, including children.

That's interesting. At our workplace, everybody who has been exposed to it has gotten it - vaccinated or not. Since most everyone was vaccinated, our stats tip in the other direction.

I don't doubt it. All of my relatives retire to Florida to die. I'm going to retire up North to die, just to break the chain.

I agree with him, except that with the Delta variant some children who are too young to get vaccinated are getting sick and going to the hospital. We need to make the shots available to all age groups now, but I've heard it could be a couple months yet before kids under 12 become eligible.
